My favourite aircraft in FSX tend to be twin props. Lately I've been flying the Duke and the F27. Now I'm looking to enjoy the Q400 and I'm wondering what hardware people are using and their various experiences with it. I have a mix of Saitek (rudder, panels) and Goflight (yoke, throttle) which have generally worked quite well so far. I'm happy to throw more into the mix if it will add to the immersion. So, what are you using and what hardware do you feel has added most to your enjoyment of the Q400? Regards, Steve.

Another vote here for the Saitek multi-panel. I use Spad rather than the Saitek drivers and so far it as been working just fine. Great aircraft. Steve

I suffered a very similar problem earlier this year with another 3rd party add on aircraft. Gradually the problem seemed to extend to other aircraft and then other add-ons started malfunctioning. Turned out to be corrupt simconnect files in my case. Try reinstalling the simconnect files first then reinstall the problem aircraft. If that doesn't work try reinstalling Flightsim itself, not forgetting to make sure you have all the simconnect files installed, especially if using FS-SE edition. The Duke is a fantastic aircraft so I hope the above helps you to enjoy it to the full. Steve

Paul, I was interested to read about your setup for the Duke and Q400. I have 2x throttle and the TPM unit as well. I don't yet have the Q400 which is on the shopping list. At the moment I fluctuate between a Cessna 182 (with which I use the TPM) and the Duke (with which I use the throttle quadrants but not the TPM unit). I was wondering with the Duke what controls do you assign to the TPM. I'm all for making the most of the kit that I have already bought! Thanks, Steve

Hi, I'm looking to build a slave PC to run alongside my main PC running FSX. The idea is to run software like Radar contact, FSC and ASN plus possibly some gauges on the slave PC over a network. Looking around it doesn't seem that I will need a particularly powerful PC to act a slave but I would appreciate hearing from those with actual experience of running a slave PC. I can use quite a few components from an old PC so I am just looking to purchase a CPU, motherboard and memory bundle as I have everything else I will need including a nVidia 560GTX graphics board. I have a budget of up to approximately £300 but would ideally spend rather less than that. I have seen a bundle available for about £160 being an Asus Micro-ATX H81Plus motherboard, Intel Pentium Dual Core G3258 3.2GHz CPU and 8gb Corsair Vengeance memory. Would that motherboard and CPU provide enough grunt, or would a more powerful system be required? Any thoughts and recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.
