  1. OK thanks, will try different aircraft. In twin otter extended I get nothing, making navigating out of Edinburgh difficult.
  2. Hi I have found Perth Vor PTH 110.400 (Scotland) doesn't work. When I tube the radio into the vor, nothing. Only vor I have found ed o far. Anyone else found this vor not working as well? Mark
  3. No, I didn't download it - my mistake which I regret. Running 3.1 up until last night when I installed 3.3.
  4. I unfortunately went straight from v3.1 to 3.3, very tired and blissfully unaware Kate last night of the potential short term issues with sceneries. Can anyone suggest where I could download vs 3.2 from? I wouldnt need scenery update. Mark.
  5. Major breakdown in communications between developer and interested parties. No wonder there had been confusion and misinformation with many assumptions made. If this situation sorts itself out, which I hope it does, this product will still require the skills and dedication of forum moderators but at least one of you needs to take a step back from day to day forum maintenance and deal sorely with PR, managering peoples expectations and delivering announcements exactly when promised. Who ever takes on such a role had to be confident they can have details of development progress, bug fixes, updates, future features, teasers etc. In light of recent history, who ever does it has a difficult job of regaining the trust of pro atc users, but if us not insurmountable. Certainly, clive's comments got the ball rolling and Roy's response has done allot to calm the situation. Roy, I do hope the developer gives you enough information to enable to answer all the questions that will follow an announcement. Also, no matter what is said, there will still be detractors of the product, even if Mourad announced the update will include a free full scale home cockpit for every user..... Now that's good PR
  6. Do you think this is the most eagerly awaited announcement for quite some time? Can't wait to see the forum once the announcement has been made.
  7. I was going to try the flight plan feature this evening. Does fsi recognise plans created in pro atc? I can export from pro atc as .pln so should work? Another comparability issue with proATCx is within the options weather tab of proATCx which by default needs to see a themes/OpusWeather.txt to be able to use fsx. In fsi, you have changed the folder name to Weather, so as of this moment, you cannot have opusfsi working with proATCx. I have a work around - created a theme folder within opusfsi folder then created a symbolic link from weather to themes. This copies the contents over and also allows proATCx to be configured. In testing I found the OpusWeather.txt was updated correctly. What I haven't done is to see if the .dat files are copied correctly. Steve - I have reported the issue to proATCx forum
  8. I have tried AS next, and really liked it,especially for its simplicity. However, I have purchased opusFsx and now using opusFsi. Why? I like options! I like playing around and making adjustments, seems like I get allot more for my money. The fsclient system is brilliant.
  9. To overcome the problem, I have used a symbolic link on the weather folder pointing to a themes folder. I know this is not an fsi issue, but thought it coujd help others with the same issue. 10. Hi Thought I would bring it to your attention about a compatability issue with FSI and proATCx. Previously, the OpusWeather.txt file was saved within a folder "Themes". When configuering proATCx and where to locate the the OpusWeather.txt file, proATC is just hard wired to look in a foler "Themes". I have manually added a folder "Themes" within "Weather" (Weather/Themes/OpusWeather.txt file) and yes, proATCx can see this file, but off course FSI does not update the new file, why would it. I have also posted on the proATC forum about this issue as I beleive the software should be flexible enough to allow the weather file to be located anywhere. However, if you do have some advice on how to over come this, I would really appreciate it.
  11. Thank you Got this working and runs great on FSX Host computer, but will post below the "fix" just in case someone in the future comes across the same issues. NOTE: FS2crew was in no way to fault, it was my set up. uiautomationcore.dll issues - having never found a solution to the dreaded CTD caused by accessing teh FSX menu during flight ( ihave tried all known fixes!) I got really cheesed off and just renamed the uiautomationcore.dll in both the system32 and systemwow64 windows folders. Great, my FSX no longer crashed no matter how many times menu was accessed. However, windows speech requires uiautomationcore.dll in order to function and off course, FS2crew needs windows speech to work. Having renamed the uiautomationcore.dll files, I can now use FS2Crew but am limited to how many times I can use the FSX menu during flight....... a small price to pay though for such a great FSX add on program.
  12. HI I have run into a problem with my main (host) PC, in that the dreaded windows speech recongition program wont launch due to some sort of fault (I have spent hours trying to fix it, save a complete reinstall of windows 7!) I use a client computer to run programs, saw this thread and it seems will work for me (speech recong works on the cleint pc) - how exactly do I set this up? Guessing, is it that I install FS2Crew on the client and run that on there, but why the splitter? DO I understand correctly that from the mic, I go into the splitter, then one lead goes to mic in of the client and the other goes to the mic in of the host computer? Im veru confused and would appreciate any help with this Many thanks EDIT: I guess teh main question is does FS2Crew have to run on the exact same computer running windows7 speech recognition and if so, does all that then have to be on the host FSX computer?
