  1. Just worried no news is no action taken for this bug in the PMDG B777X. It seems that SP1 has introduce some new bugs like this time compression issue. But one thing that I previously thought was caused by the new service pack was the hanging of flight sim. Appears to be a problem with the graphics drivers and the ASN. After updating both of them that problem went away. This hanging of FS X only started happening with the introduction of SP 1 but now seems to be resolved with the updating of the drivers and ASN. Best regards, Darren Liew
  2. Arrggh! There is no way to fly 16 hours flight in this jet now with the new service pack. I) The time acceleration does not go above 4 times 2) Seems like when I program long sectors the whole flight sim just freezes just after takeoff 3) The VC textures now seem to take longer to load Service pack 1c time!!!!! Regards, Ronald
  3. Hi PMDG, Any updates on that patch to solve the time acceleration problem that started after the introduction of Service pack 1? Regards, Ronald
  4. Makes the ultra long range jet now unable to fly ultra long flight times. Of course we can choose to sit infront of our computers for 16 hours from Toronto to Hong Kong non stop but then there may be other problems introduced in that case like FS X crash. They cant run too long either. Also now with the new SP patch whether it is SP1 or SP1b, the cockpit/ aircraft textures loading times are ridiculously long. Hope that these will be resolved with SP1c. Regards, Ronald
  5. Dont think so... .The B787 seems to display EFB as a main feature and we dont even have that on the B777x. regards, Ronald
  6. Please let them solve the time compression issues with the B777x first. The ultra long haul are unflyable for people like me who do not wish to sit in front of the computer for 4 hours plus for a flight like Hong Kong to New York at 4 times compression. Regards, Ronald
  7. Was watching the Just planes Air Canada B777-300er video and realised that their ECL seems to be different from the PMDG B777 ECL. I think that is what the others meant by variation. Regards, Ronald
  8. Actually yes! Kyle always seems to have an answer to all PMDG related items that I why I am checking in with him. But I think that the bulk of the problem is that with SP1 the NAV of the PMDG B777X cant seem to catch up during time acceleration. Regards, Ronald
  9. Huh? Unless the group of beta testers were all flying in real time. Until now I have not read a single posting from anyone(I have not read all the postings but so far only) that they have not had any problem with time compressions above 4X. Maybe this was not high on their agendas as they were just trying to match the realism of the sim and not look into the FS X additional items as the real planes do not have the ability for time compression either. Regards, Ronald
  10. But you flew without time compression or at the most at 4X. Try flying at 8X and above. Not only will you get freezes but you may definitely have NAV errors. Regards, Ronald
  11. Hi Kyle, I think that the SP1 is alright except for the fact that it cannot handle any time acceleration above 4 times. Also I think that some users(including myself) once engaging the auto time compression will be unable to get out of it by right clicking on the clock button in the flight deck.(this is another new bug found only with the SP1). I have that occasional FS X crash or totally freeze on me (also totally new as I had no such problems before SP1 came along) Without time acceleration, non stop flights like Toronto to Hong Kong non stop will be out of the question for us leisure simmers. We are not the hardcore type who will run their PCs 15 plus hours to match the real life flight times. Give us that bug fix soon please!!! Regards, Ronald
  12. Hi Paul, I noticed that once we use time compression and the course strays off and the autopilot starts to struggle to correct and the Nav data is all over the shop. Then the incorrect data starts like when we are turning left the ND shows that we are going right. The FMC is counting up when we are actually heading towards the destination. I reprogram the FMC also cant change this by skipping the next waypoint to head direct to the next one. Regards, Ronald
  13. HI Rob, I am having this problem as well. When I run in time compression the ND starts to display the nonsense data like when I am turning right the ND data shows that we are going left. So far I have had only one successful flight using SP1 with the rest ending when the ND starts doing haywire. This was no problem before SP1. What is in SP1 that is creating this instability? The FMC was also starting to display rubbish data like the countdown in distance to destination instead of counting down but it is increasing when we are actually heading towards it. Regards, Ronald
  14. And the screen freezing issue which I have personally not experienced before SP1. Hope that the new patch will be out by this weekend to resolve this screen freezing and the time acceleration problem. Regards, Ronald
  15. Hi PMDG, I just have a screen freezing incident on the PMDG B777-300ER when trying to fly from Singapore to Melbourne. Is there any fixes for this? For me this started once I engaged the time compression. Just out of frustration, I have had not a single good flight with the PMDG SP1 since its release on sat. I thought that 10 months for development of the SP1 will release a less buggy flight experience. Hope anyone out there has a fix to the screen freezing problem(I only have this problem now once I installed the SP1) Regards, Ronald
