  1. http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library Download the registry repair tool, change the installer to the fsx.exe file in steam version. This worked for me.

  3. Ah the great old days when the 747-400 ruled LAX, now it's majority 777s that took over (Not that I'm complaining about the 777 . Now it only KLM and Qantas that send the passenger 747-400s to LAX.
  4. You need to have patience in this hobby, 'lack of information' simply means that there is no information to post. Almost every Flight Simulator add on is very tricky to work with. If I recall when the NGX was in development, RSR stated that he had to go through thousands of pages just to verify that everything is working correctly. PMDG will NOT lose prestige just because they are not posting on the forum, they are hard at work perfecting the 747-400v2 for all of us to enjoy.
  5. The 747v2 is a brand new ground up product. Nothing from the old 747 add on will be compatible with the new 747v2.
  6. A quiet forum means that there is no news to post, it also means that the team is hard at work. Patience is the most valuable thing in this hobby and perhaps in aviation too. Remember guys the 747-400v2 will be in our simulators and the wait will be worth it. The 747-400 is a VERY complex machine and replicating it for the simulators is A LOT of hard work and long hours to produce. We all want the 747-400v2, but it's best for the team to take their time and craft their new virtual toy for us. In the mean time guys, fly the 777-200LR/300ER until our new virtual toy is released.
  7. It has been a while since there's been an update, but the fact that there is no update tells us that there's nothing to announce just yet. When the forum is silent it usually means that the team is hard at work. It's best for the team to work hard on the 747v2 rather than have constant updates.
  8. You do realise in a quick google search, QualityWings is making a 787-8/9? https://www.facebook.com/QualityWings/?fref=ts

Since when did beta testing start? I don't recall hearing news of this.

If there is anything that is learned in this hobby and life in general is that patience is an absolute must. It is best to wait for a near perfect product than a product with flaws (Remember the time acceleration glitch when the -300ER was released?). When the products (FS add on products in general) are released, it makes the wait all worth while. In the mean time, fly the 777 until the 747 gets released.
  11. September 2013 when the 777-200LR was released, then the -300ER in July 2014.

SP2 is required for PMDG and various other add-ons. I don't own acceleration so I can't say on that behalf. Since you mentioned for functionality and FPS, I would strongly recommend the FSX Steam Edition as it has both SP2 and acceleration. I have seen double frames in the SE and it is more smooth than the boxed edition of FSX. All with the same exact settings.
  13. They will announce when it is in beta, the fact that there is no news should tell you (us) that they are still hard at work. Don't worry, the PMDG 747 v2 will be released, but patience is needed.
  14. The windows are now transparent on the -200LR and -300ER. Thank you guys for the fix!
