I would like to do a full install of the new ver of P3d is there any way i can save the aircraft folder add drop it into the new install and not have to reload each one ?

Thanks Kyle I tried to adjust the HDR sliders and it did help a small amount but did not clear up the problem, the strange thing is its only the center displays if look at the 1st officer side from the cap seat its looks clear and cap side is clear.

As you can see in the picture the center display is very blurry this never happened before not sure what is causing it. i am not using any shaders or the such should i try a clean install of the 777? So it took me some time to get back in front of the computer to see what was happening. it seems if the software is set to Vsync with the monitor at 30Hz there is not enought load to make the card work. i reset my monitor to 60hz and found the card jumping to over 2000mhz with a small OC (150Mhz) temps where fine around 55-65 c. I must say the sim is not as smooth as the 30Hz but i did increase the sliders. The 1080 can produce the frame rate but I try to increase the sliders and the frame rate to far the OOM kicks right in. The sim is not smooth at all without vsync it stuttered a lot. My impression is the software is still way behind the hardware... i ma far from an expert on any of this. its just my first impression. I did take a flight in rural area with vsync set and unlimited frames and did get smooth operation at 60 fps +/-. I will try this in NYC later tonight.

Well i was fortunate enough to get a GTX 1080 last week but i am not sure its all the bang for the buck. my card is running at 1607 MHz most of the time even with Overclock i played with a few settings just to see how i fair. I took my monitor off 30hz and set it to 60 Hz and locked in vsync to see if the sim would run at 30 FPS with most sliders at max. It did run better then My GTX 1080 with no overclock. but OOM creeped in fast!!! I have gone back to the 30HZ setting on the monitor and adjusted my settings back a bit (removed Vector) and its back to smooth and no OOM. OK rant over questions now Why did i replace the GTX 980 for the 1080 what benefit will the faster card provide with the monitor locked at 30 FPS by Vsync ? Why is the 1080 only using the lower clock speed most of the time ? Monitor question I have three monitors connected to the PC but i am only running P3D one one 55" NEC commercial monitor @ 1920x1080 30 Hz the others i use for FSC or vattastic. i tried to use the DSR feature in Nvidia settings to upscale to 4K just to see how the sim ran but the screen bled into the other monitors ?? can any one explain why this happens i was under the impression it would only up scale the video in the one monitor? My hardware ASUS Z97a MB , I7 4790k OC to 4.6 with water cooling 16 GB low latency 2133 mem in two 8 GB stix P3D V 3.2.3 Not ready for V 3.3 will wait for the bugs to work out... Win 10 64 bit

I to had this issue and did not go through the experiment i just reinstalled V3.2.3 and right back in the saddle. At JFK with NYC X low textures and PMDG 777 vas was fine.

Kyle I do agree there is not much in FPS difference at all but i did find through trial and error and monitoring with Process lasso that ASN is a bit of a CPU hog I the second computer sitting here doing nothing so i made the attempt to get it to work and it seems to be working fine for weather and the radar seems to be working well. Its very strange as i gave permission to every folder i could find and then i made the drives network drives just to be sure. I am in contact with Dave Opper from HiFi and he has been very helpful. but they cant figure out the issue. I am far from a Tech guy but i learn fast for an old guy. if can understand how the flight plan is sent to to ASN i am sure I can resolve the issue. I simply love the 777 and have a good buddy who flys for american (773) and he has been sending Me tons of info on this amazing girl. you guys really nailed it as most of the stuff we talk about works in the sim. Thanks Kyle, i am having an issue with ASN on the network it is connecting fine but the Flight plan is not able to load into ASN. I was working on fix with the great team at HiFI but lost touch when work got in the way. I will check out the Tutorial either way i i really enjoyed the first one.

To all the experts out there I thank you in advance for your help As this old guy is new to most of this.. I am wondering where the FMC pulls the Descent forecast from. Thanks Everyone for the advise, i was able to clear the problem once airborne with the maintenance. but the problem is not the brakes over heating first. As i am running down the runway with no breaks the parking break comes on and heats the breaks up.. not the reverse.. I will mess around today with this and see what i get. maybe my breaks are to senitive in FSUIPC i will make some adjustments and see if that makes a difference. Thanks LEE

I am all configured and on my takeoff roll and all of a sudden the parking break sign is on and the tire press and break temp is lit up. I am not applying any breaks during TO what can be causing this ? P3d V3.2xx win 10 PMDG 777 Thanks Lee

Please tell me where the shaders file is located ?

I am running P3D v3.2xx on a good PC and getting pretty good frames (30fps) and very smooth operation and and want to explore a Traffic addon that works well and wont completely kill my set up. I have a second networked PC running ASN and Moving map software via Wide FS. I would appreciate hearing about your experiences with traffic addons that work well and wont drop me into frames that kill the experience. Thanks.

When i load into the sim i am outside the AC in outside spot view how do i change this so i load into the VC ?

thanks Donor i got it installed and holy molly night and day the stutter is still there on hard turns but decreased greatly. more tweaking tomorrow..

Hello to all Great read this thread. wish i would have found it sooner as i am very close to divorce after three full days in the sim room trying to get this stuff to work. I have tried every one of the suggestions and it has made some great improvements to the overall sim but the studders and bluries continue. My last (yea Right) effort will be to install the Driver recommended by Pete. I made this attempt to install this tonight but windows wont let it install as i updated my driver yesterday to the latest one, the installer wont over right it as its newer. i tried to install from device Manger but it to told me the driver is newer. Any idea how i get the older driver to install?

thanks for the reply i am aware of the OOM it has only happend to me once since the new V3.1 of P3d and i was pushing the limits of my PC for OC benchmark. i have never had a Shut down after that. i tried to turn everything down but the ring was still there. i will monitor Vas just to see if that is the problem.

Last post of this thread for me, i ran the sim as per the detail in the manual and it works perfect. Amazing Aircraft level of detail is incredible. I did the full tutorial to the letter and i must say it really helped get me on the right path to learning the in and out of this amazing work of art. I was a little hesitant to purchase but i feel it was worth every penny. START SIM WITHOUT THE 777 AS THE CHOSEN PLANE USE ANY OTHER NON COMPLEX AC THEN CHOOSE THE 777 AND IT WORKS PERFECT. Kyle I read this, and made some bad assumptions, i always used the scenario start screen and still do but the FSUIPC saved flight was the Default which placed the 777 as the default AC. i did not put this together. I have removed this as the default and will run to see how it all works. Thanks for you patience with the old man, I am just returning to flight sim after a lifetime away I think i chose the perfect time as the development of products like PMDG and P3D are really showcasing how far a home set up can go. With a great community of people like you helping and making videos I am having a much easier time with the learning curve. One last question if i may, I am running AS Next as my weather engine is there any setting up to make the Weather radar function ? Thanks Lee Summer
