  1. Decided to cheer myself with yet another sim to wrestle with and bought Prepar3d As soon as it is installed I'm going to add the PMDG 737-NGX I should really get another 777-200 as it is my favourite but just this once I'll be different Ah well, happy......
  2. Thanks for good wishes. Problem now sorted. Made myself tons better by flying to El Prat LEBL and into a mighty Mediterranean thunderstorm. Two missed approaches later I had to seek an alternative. The new ASN 16 just the medicine... and this was live not scenario stuff! Always good storms in the Perpingan to Barcelona region of the Med... Ok must go this is sort of off topic!
  3. Ahh, a solution! I neglected to say that every time I selected a PMDG product in FSXE after WIN 10 Anniversary boot(botch)up, a small screen popped up requesting my reg number. I had been inputting the 777-200 code by mistake. However can't remember if the code box always popped up or it's just a post Anniversary problem Sorry I'm a bit unwell at the moment so my mind is fogged by the mass of medication I have to shovel down me every few hours.. This adds to more confusion.. Apologies
  4. Thanks Scandanavian 13, will do. By sign our name, do we need to sign the post itself or does our signature suffice?
  5. In short: Access code req each time I select a PMDG product. The 777-200FX works after entering code but 300ER goes all Opensky on me with buttons and switches not responding. Lights will not come on etc. Maybe I should enter separate code for 300ER but can't see one in my archives.
  6. Yet another item that needs Heat Robinson solutions. I'm a little peeved by paying out for things only to see freeware versions provide. I'm off to see which of FlightGear, X-Plane (payware), or FSX (payware); don't have this problem... The PMDG 777 is great but I do get frustrated...... At the risk of spamming accusations might I recommend trying out the wonderful FlightGear 707 to remind yourselves of what you really wanted a sim to do all those years ago.... I still buy PMDG products regardless........
  7. I agree it works well with the AI and it is ok despite a few quibbles. I don't like not having my flight plans linked either.. Ifly and Freemium worked with it, why not PMGD? I pay good money thus I expect options, and NOT just options that only involve buying yet more software...
  8. I have had better luck with Heathrow EGLL and W.Europe. I remain impressed by the level and quality of replies... One handy reason for retaing gate numbers is that readily short and understood positions, in the event of a fire say, can be communicated to lay persons in an emergency. This is despite the fact the 99% of the population now own a mobile phone with all the attendant geometric and astrometric accoutrements. It is not easy to stop and enter details in the heat of the moment but "Go to gate B60!" is more easily understood and signposted. In other words: sound semiotic sense and reason. (Er, not very concise but I'm sure everyone can see my point.)
  9. Thanks everyone for prompt info! I had been using the Lat/Lon approach but was not sure if I was doing the right thing. It's a shame about gate numbers though....
  10. I'm stll learning but have stumbled with Gate No on the fmc. No matter what I try the result is: Not in database
  11. Buy it and join me in features heaven! Why did I wait so long? It's as good as the Flight Gear 707 and some....
  12. Got me my 777s and got me my banner... Happy! so happy...
