This is the first time I've come across something like this but its been confirmed by a couple of others. The DME signal for the ILS rwy 24 at KCRQ is missing. You can pick up the LOC and GS. I'm running Prepard3D v3 and have tried with both the A2A C182 and the Turbine Duke but the issue is AC independent I believe. As I said a couple of others have confirmed the issue over at PilotEdge. Is there a way to edit or update the airport nav data files? Any other suggestions on how to fix the issue? Thanks

Wait until next year (June-ish) when the next gen Pascal Nvidia cards are released. I also have 2 970s and will switch to a single high performance card at that time. I'm done with SLI, too many support issues. Not necessarily with Prepard3D but other software I run.

In the Duke Config tool in the GPS Radio tab I have "No GPS" selected. There is no GPS in the AC just the NAV/COMs, AP, ADF, and transponder.

I've recently purchased the Real Turbine Duke and I'm having some issues with the nav instruments. Here is the test flight: Takeoff from KISM rwy 15 with the Treasure (TRV) VOR tuned on Nav 1 at 117.3 and set the obs to 130 on the HSI. On the climb out the red nav flag in the HSI disappears but there is no movement of the CDI, its at max deflection and stays there no movement at all even if I rotate the OBS completely around the dial the CDI will not center but the TO FROM flag changes. No idea what is going on here with the Duke? If I do the same in the A2A C182 I get CDI deflection and can track to the radial. Works perfectly! I'm running Prepard3d V3 . There doesn't appear to be a forum for the Real Air Duke anywhere so I thought I'd give it a try here and see if anyone can reproduce the behavior or has the answer.

Thanks Penguin Another question. Does the Auto Pilot fly to the VOR or ILS tuned on Nav 2? Or Nav radio 1?

Just picked up the Real Air Turbine Duke V2. I have a question regarding the Nav radios and guages. Sorry if its a dumb question. I assume that a VOR tuned on Nav 1 is displayed on the HSI and that the VOR or ILS tuned on Nav 2 is displayed on the guage below the HSI? Is that correct? The guage to the left and below the HSI displays the ADF and a VOR heading but I'm not sure what VOR heading? I can't seem to find any documentation on the guages either in the Flying Guide or online. Thanks!

The installers are available from Simmarket but I purchased through PC Aviator and I don't believe they have been updated there yet.

Has anyone been able to install KSNA in V3. According to the LatinVFR site the scenery should work it just needs to be installed to a different location?

Another question. If I have Prepard v2.5 installed and I install v3 will the installer migrate the v2.5 settings, such as controller config, video etc?? I'd like to keep my controller settings?

I've been away from Prepard3d for several months. In that time v3 has been released and looks like its been confirmed to be a step up from v2.5. I wish to move to v3 but the thought of installing all my addons again makes my head spin. I did notice that Flight Estonia has a migration tool but they say v3 support is still in development. Is there any other options other than wiping and doing a complete re-install of the sim and scenery, aircraft, airports, etc??

Thanks Psybear, I'm embarrassed to say that after doing a PC restart its all ok. I'll have to learn not to panic so easily in the future.

I have ASN installed and I'm running ASN. I want t make sure I have it installed correctly. In Prepard 3D in the Settings>Weather do I need to select 'ActiveSky Weather Theme' under 'Weather Themes'? I have ASN set to Live Weather Mode. I start ASN first and then Prepard 3D and when I ALT-TAB after the sim is running the bottom of the ASN windows says: Wx Mode: Live Real Time Sim Connection: Waiting for Simulator Current Activity: Idle I would have expected Sim Connection to indicate that its been connected to the Prepard 3D. I wondering if anyone can confirm if Theme Selection is required and if Sim Connection status should be different please??

I'm interested in learning more about AI traffic options. Right now I'm using Prepard 3D with a few addon airports CYVR, KSNA, KSAN, etc. What I would like to see is some realistic aircraft parked and moving on the ground. What I mean by realistic is model and airline type consistent with real world schedules to that particular airport. Right now my airports are rather barren and dead. I've only been at this for a couple hence the noob question.

I'm a new simmer so my question might seem rather basic. Lately I've been flying the A2A C182. I've purchased some airport addons eg LatinVFR KSNA, FSDreamteam CYVR. I've noticed when I'm only a couple of thousand feet AGL if I switch my view to be out the side window the scenery is slowly redrawn with higher detail. Its only certain areas of the view that are re-drawn not the whole view. What settings should I adjust to try to eliminate or at least minimize this behavior? I'm running 2 GTX 970 in SLI and I've been getting good frame rates so I think I have room to make some tweaks. Cheers!

I have FTX Global and also LatinVFR KSNA John Wayne. I'd like to add LAX and the surrounding area as I'm doing a lot of VFR. Do I need to be concerned with compatibility between FTX Global and the LAX scenery addon. Everything seems to be working OK with the LatinVFR addon. Does the addon scenery overwrite the FTX Global scenery? I'm running Prepard 3D. It looks like aerosoft and fsdreamteam have addons for LAX and area but the fsdreamteam addon looks like it lacks full support for Prepard 3D. Any suggestions for LAX and area scenery please. I just picked up FS2Crew and have been browsing the manual and tutorials. This is a noob question but is it possible to save and resume a flight. Will FS2Crew pickup at the point where I saved the flight? I'm not sure if the P3D save will also save the FS2Crew state. Its not always possible for me to complete a flight in one sitting. Thanks

Thanks for the help guys. Overload I've looked at the charts and see a Georgia 5 SID but not a 4? Are you departing rwy 13? I'm guessing but does 'DCT' mean direct? EDIT After posting I see that SKIFF has answered my question on the meaning of DCT. Thank you SKIFF for breaking down the route for me. Now I just need to find a good guide/tutorial to learn the route nomenclature. Cheers!

I'm new to this so I have what is likely a basic question. I've planned a flight from Vacouver CYVR to Portland KPDX using PFPX the route given is: ATC Route N0357A170 DCT VR B22 XX V495 HUH05/N0357A170 V495 HUH DCT SEA HELNS5 I'm flying the 737 NGX. I'd like to better understand what the above means. I'm aware that HELNS5 is a STAR and the V495 and B22 are likely airways. I've no idea what N0357A170 refers to, looks like heading and altitude?? How about HUH05/N0357A170? I'm departing rwy 13 and I've looked at CYVR's SIDs and I can't find N0357A170 so this has me stumped? Any suggestions on where I can read up on this stuff or quick explanations. Thanks

I've subscribed to Navigraph Charts but I was surprised that there is no resource there available for understanding LIDO charts. I'm wondering if anyone knows where some reference material might be found. Legend? Tutorials? etc. Cheers

Well I spoke to soon. The Black Screen has returned but this time I noticed a notification that was hidden behind it that said the Nvidia driver has stopped and was recovered, something along those lines. I'm going to roll back to the previous driver release and see if that makes a difference.
