P3D V3 More Alaska Adventures - improved fps
This is with x4 MSAA / x8 SGSS and there's a noticeable FPS boost (and no stutters) vs x8 msaa. This is running on an i7 4790K @4.0Ghz, GTX 970, 16Gb HyperX Savage, so not a top end rig. Juneau Intl to Yakutat.

P3D V3 Pacific Fjords / Southern Alaska
Have been trying out various settings, tweaks, etc. This is with x8 MSAA / SGSS, vysnc enabled, triple buffering, unlimited FPS After taking the vid, I managed to get FPS increase with x4 MSAA / x8 SGSS without any noticeable difference. I'm going to see if setting my monitors refresh rate will result in any improvements.

P3D V3 Santa Rosa (KSTS) - Carenado Piper Archer II
Hello everyone, Some V3 footage, little bit of Avatar mode at the start, with add ons (using same methods as other here have mentioned). Initially, looking at the release notes from LM, like many others, got a little annoyed as the majority of changes were bug fixes. Now that I've had it for almost a week, I have to say, V3 is well worth the price, the non bug fixes that were implemented are significant enough to warrant the full price, in my humble opinion. Hope you enjoy the vid :-) -Phil

P3D v3 and TrackIR
I don't know if this goes against the sticky topic 'Installing 3rd Party Software into Updated Versions of P3D' since the changes are text files that ezca configure.exe would edit anyways, nothing more. I just used configs (exe.dll to load ezca and cameras.cfg) from v2.5 user prefs (Appdata, roaming .....) to v3 user prefs, thats all.

P3D v3 and TrackIR
I also use EZDok, which is why it doesn't work. I've managed to get EZDok working in V3 now. TrackIR works beautifully along with ezca

P3D v3 and TrackIR
Hello, Has anyone been able to get TrackIR working with V3? I've installed all the simconnect version that came with V3, it detects my TrackIR (both lights are on) but doesn't work. So far, HDR changes are nice, VAS usage seems better, I cant really tell since I dont have any add ons. thanks.

Does P3D 3 = P3D 2.6?
I also work for a software company and would loose a significant amount of customers if we pushed out a release, more than 50% of which contains bug fixes and then charging full price. Each to their own, we all have a choice and right now those choices are limited. I'm not very happy about paying full price for bug fixes, however, I'll most likely end up purchasing it anyway, esp since there's a refund policy, only then, I can make an accurate and informed decision about whether V3 is worth it or not. Forums are meant for people to voice opinions, concerns, to have discussions and it's sad to see some resorting to personal / ad hominem attacks vs having an actual discussion.

Prepar3d V3 Release date Wednesday 30th September
It's about the same in general but in areas with heavy scenery, for eg in the San Francisco area, I get better frame rates with X-Plane, not by a lot though, probably about 5 - 10 fps avg, I get close to 30 FPS in X-Plane and low 20s in P3D but this is also with sliders in P3D turned down and one or more payware airport disabled (depending on the aircraft I fly), otherwise I will OOM in a few mins. While I do prefer the visuals, the quality add ons that's available for P3D, it's definitely nice in X-Plane being able to do a long haul flight, with a payware 777, starting location and destination are payware airports + scenery, flying over high res photo scenery, from Europe to New York, without going OOM, or having to save flight a couple of times, turning down sliders, etc.

Prepar3d V3 Release date Wednesday 30th September
But that's not a fair comparison, unless you managed to install a plethora of add ons in the trial? My VAS uage in xplane upon start up, sitting in the airport is hovering around 6 - 6.5GB but I have a TON of add ons, including high res photo scenery, payware airport/aircraft, all settings maxed out as well as using Ultra HD mesh.

FlightBeams KSFO HD with some PA31, L1011, and 727
Nice video! Do you know what the VAS usage is like compared to v1?
