  1. You have GOT to be sh*tting me! I would expect a BETTER solution than this! Maybe a re-worked program, or repair program! This is NOT acceptable - AND time-consuming to boot! Give us ALL a little support and provide a REAL solution!!!
  2. I have had the exact same problem. The brakes have completely frozen on me TWICE now, following roll-out on the runway! I only touched the brakes following application of the reversers. Nothing I tried would release the brakes, so I ended up disconnecting from VATSIM and shutting down FSX. Also, it seems the reversers take a very long time to engage, following complete touchdown...is it normal that they don't engage immediately after the nosewheel is on the runway? None of my other PMDG aircraft behave this way...
  3. For some reason, ASE doesn't seem to be generating winds aloft, during ANY trans-Atlantic flight. I have disabled winds in FS-Inn and also increased the range of wind reporting stations en route (in ASE). I still receive no winds aloft; therefore, my TAS and Groundspeed are exactly the same. Sure could use some help here, as I'd love to have the realism flying those long, trans-Atlantic routes. Any help or suggestions is appreciated. Thanks. UPS100/FDC459
  4. If you're a patient, quality-minded simmer, then you'll have no problem waiting until PMDG releases the NGX for FSX. I'd rather they take their time to get it right for release. That's the smart thing to do. Otherwise, they spend WAY too much time on customer support, trying to fix things. Give the PMDG guys time - you'll be glad you did. In the meantime, enjoy their 747, MD-11, and other outstanding airframes! I know I rarely fly anything else on long-haul trips. PMDG ROCKS!
  5. I've tried numerous times to let the SP1 install on my Win-7/64-bit system. Each time it fails. Not sure why tho. Even tried downloading the update direct from MS and install it; but still not joy. I did notice that after the first attempt, my FSX w/SP2 wouldn't work! Had to repair the install; however, now, none of my FSDreamTeam scenery will install, or work. BluePrint scenery seems to work fine, but now my system doesn't seem to like anything to do with the DreamTeam's Set-up Add-on Manager from Virtuali. Not a happy camper here! Leave it to MS and their chipheads to screw things up again! Need to get those people out from their cubicals and into the real world! I'll stop venting now!
  6. UPS Virtual Air Cargo (UPSVAC) recently announced that they will host the first annual "Pan-American Cargo Tour - 2010." According to UPS Hub manager (UPS100) Eric Faber, this event is slated to be the first of many annual cargo/"FreightDog" events. This year's event will consist of six legs. The first leg will begin on Friday, November 5, 2010 with reserved departure times from PANC to CYWG. Subsequent legs will route from CYWG to KMIA, then from KMIA to SVMI; SVMI to SEQU, and the final leg from SEQU to SCEL. We also have alternate route destinations available – for those who are not able to commit to a 6+ hour flight leg. As you can see, this is a long-haul event, designed for online flying by any virtual Freight Dog airline.UPSVAC is coordinating ATC coverage with the appropriate VATSIM regions along the entire route. An online sign-up and departure reservation/slot assignment system is also being built, just for this event. FMS, FMC, and other Flight Sim type flight plans, as well as instrument charts (IAPs, etc.) and scenery files will available for download for at least FS2004 and FSX systems. We'll also have private Squakbox and TeamSpeak channels established to allow everyone to talk discretely to other flight participants. If all goes as planned (and the UPS Web Meister is ready) , slots will be open for reservation beginning 0000Z on 22 October 2010. UPS-VAC is pleased to open this event up to all virtual airlines of the world! (UPS-VAC pilots will all receive DOUBLE flying hours for participating.) If you're up for a challenge, then this event is for you! So, to all you "Freight Dogs" out there - it's time to unite! Get ready to load up that freighter and light-up the fire-breathing beast for an event to be remembered! Watch the UPSVAC Website for more details, as they come available. (P.S. - If you're aware of any Flight Sim Add-on company that would like to promote their products and sponsor this event - by supplying a free add-on to a randomly selected participant - please contact UPSVAC management.)
