  1. Thanks RickB1293! That did the trick. I appreciate it. However, I will say I did as the install notes said and deleted all 777 flightplans prior to the last re-install. So, I guess the the next test will be to see if the probelms rears its ugly head, following placing new flightplans in the 777 folder. Thanks again. I should have been able to figure that out on my own, but guess I was suffering from "brain up & locked" syndrome! All the best, Eric Faber
  2. that's no REALLY a solution...it's a work-around. The "issue" needs to be resolved, if indeed it is an issue. Eric Faber
  3. Well, it's been over 2 weeks now, and still no answer or response to this problem I'm having! Kinda puts a damper on so-called "custome forum support.".....
  4. I thought I saw someone else post this same issue. However, when I came back to the forum, after verifiying that I do indeed have a problem, I have not been able to find the post. Sorry if this is a duplicate posting (if that's the case). Anyway, I've got both -200 & -300 models, with current updates installed, according to the ops center. My problem is that when I select "Request Route/or routing" button, FSX immediately crashes. This has happened at least three times today already. Not sure what the cause is, but sure would be happy if someone is able to help. I did not have this problem, until after installing the recent update for the -300. Thanks in advance!, Eric Faber FDC459

Well, after totally unistalling both -200 and -300 models...doing a reboot, and re-installing both, I still get different UTC times between the panel clock and the UTC time and ETAs, etc., in the FMS. Is there something I've missed? Not sure how to delete my old saved panel states....that probably has something to do with it... Any concrete assistance, other than "mayby this or that" thoughts would be much appreciated. Also, PMDG folks may want to consider programming subsequent installers to automatically delete, or offer the user a place to save previous panel states...during the install of, say, SP-1c. This would possibly alleviate issues like this happeneing to people who do not read install "Readme" files, prior to installing an update (such as me). A was under the (wrong) assumption that user-friendly installers would be programmed to make the install as worry-free as possible for the customer. Anyway, help is appreciated. I could not figure out how to attach a screenshot, otherwise, I would have.... Eric Faber FDC459

Thanks, I will check that out.

Ever since I updated to the new version 1.10.6036, my clock has been continuously off zulu/UTC time. I've gone into FSX's time/day and checked, but FSX seems to be showing the correct day & time, etc. However, my clock in the 777 has been off by about 7 1/2 hours from UTC. I've looked in the settings for each 777 setup via the Operations Center, but everything there seems okay. I am not able to refer to or rely on the clock on my panel for the correct time at all. This one's got me frazzled for sure! Any pointers woud be appreciated. Thanks Eric Faber FDC459 777-200 & 777-300 Owner
  8. I've had this same issue, since installing the 777. I've done all the checks as outlined here, but still cannot get FS-Inn to bootup without using the Trike or a basic aircraft, before trying to bootup FS-Inn from the Addons menu of FSX. I'm thinking it's a problem with FS-Inn & not the 777, as I had absolutely no problems with FS-Inn and the PMDG 737 or any other plane, until the 777. If there's a support staff with a pulse for FS-Inn any longer, I'm not aware of them. If anyone here has gotten any recent help from the FS-Inn people, sure would be nice to hear about it.
  9. Thank goodness for this fix! That bug has been driving me crazy on long haul flights!
  10. I tried to change door #4 to cargo also, but had no luck using the GSX editor or doing it manually. It looks to me like that rear cargo door - aft of the left wing - is assigned as a pax door in the original texture. I'm not sure how to change that either, so I guess I'll wait for the FSDT people to sort it out. The door is easily opened (from the FMS Menu), but cannot be assigned as a cargo loading door.
  11. Yep, sure would be nice to be able to move the displays arounf like we can with the other aircraft.
  12. Seems to work fine for me. Win-7.
  13. On this particular cargo model, there's also a larger cargo door that opens up on the rear, pilot's side that is not configured yet with the cfg mod provided. Other than that, the mod workx fine for me. Thanks again.
  14. Thought your profile said you completely deleted FSX from your computer....is PMDG making the Trip-7 for XP-10???
  15. Thanks for this! It worked fine for me. However, if you do the gsx.cfg edit while still running FSX, you will need to restart gsx and then go thru the deboarding menu again. Remember that each aircraft seems to have its own cfg file & that file is located in your main AppData...Roaming folder.

DirectX 10 GPU = NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti Driver version = 9.18.13.1422 *** I've attached a Word doc file containing my system specs, if that helps. Thank you! EDF

First off, I'd like to say how impressed I am with the PMDG 777! It was pretty darn easy transitioning to it, after flying all the other PMDG Boeings! Thanks for that. The SMALL issues I have are: - When I use Direct-X in FSX, I lose a couple pieces of interior textures. I have attached the differences for techie reivew. - Also, related to FMS features, when I try to enter an ATC fix, such as FH515 (for an arrival into Hahn, Germany), I get an unrecognized fix message; essentially, I cannot use local fixes, like I can with the 737, MD-11, and 747. Even Level-D and Q-Sim allow me to use these fixes. But not the Tripple-7. Be nice to have it back, if possible. Thanks a bunch PMDG for getting this airplane out for us simmy guys! As a retired ATC and commercial pilot, I really appreciate PMDG's realism and overall great products! Help or guidance with my issues would also be appreciated...not a biggy, just a few minor bumps in the road to progress! Eric Faber
  19. How about for FS-Inn? Same entry?
  20. (referring to previous posts requiring dictionaries and thesaurusisisi) - this is not the place to bloviate or pontificate; however, aviating is often praised.
  21. Been trying/wanting to use DirectX for years! However, some add-ons support it, and others do not. It's been much easier for me to just not use Direct-X at all. I will say that using P3D seems to alleviate many of my direct-x irregularities; however, I do prefer FSX for many other reasons, and tend to fly FSX much more frequently. I've seen that there is a person attempting to develop a payware solution to these problems, but have not seen the solution expose itself, as if today. I too will patiently await a viable and worthwhile solution.
  22. I agree with everyone here. The PMDG MD-11 is an outstanding FSX/P3D aircraft! I may fly others, but ALWAYS return to the good old MD-11. It really is a fine airplane. Next to the PMDG 747s and 8s, the MD-11F is my go to airplane! Can't imagine why they would not at least update the capabilities to NGX, but then I don't run the company! No matter, I'll always enjoy flying the PMDG line of aircraft. Now, if they would only make their current line X-Plane compatible, we'd be rockin'! (*** I know I'm dreaming, but it's fun to dream sometimes!). Go MD-11 Go!
  23. Sorry to hear PMDG has decided not to pursue further improvements to the MD-11. I really enjoy flying the FSX version of the MD-11F. I have had absolutely no problems with the airplane since installing it several years ago. It has always been an aircraft I enjoy flying; it's truly a joy to fly, via autopilot or manual controls. Once you learn this airplane, just like with the others, it's one you'll always enjoy going back to - after flying the NGX, or 747, etc. I do look forward to the upcoming improvements to the 747; this is another really nice PMDG plane to fly. At the same time, I am saddened by the fact that the veneralve MD-11 will not get the facelift it really deserves.
  24. I found a flight sim advertised on the Internet called Virtual Pilot 3d. It claims to be 64-bit, but there seems (to me) to be many unanswered concerns, such as: is it compatible with FSX, FS9, and/or X-Plane add-ons? Also, does it work with FSUIPC, ActiveSky, REX, and other add-ons? Does anyone know anything factual about this Virtual Pilot 3d program? Like many of you, I have also installed P3D (on a separate Hard drive) and do enjoy using it. I have found it to be compatible with most FSX programs and add-ons; however, I've found a few programs (fsx) that simply will not work with P3D. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone out there has any real, factual experience with this 64-bit Virtual Pilo 3d program.
  25. I completed this procedure; however, I found it very easy to install most of my FSX scenery & aircraft (including PMDG and Q-Sim aircraft, using a program (cheap) sold by Estonia software (http://www.flightsim.ee/ ) . I obtained the program at Simmarket.com. This program saved me a lot of headaches and works easily. Now I can run FSX and Prepar3d anytime I want without hassles!
