  1. I'm enjoying this product upgrade very much, and it is a significant improvement over the initial release. Jack
  2. I have opened the .DDS in Paint.net, saved it as a .JPEG, then opened the .JPEG in Gimp to edit. When finished editing, export it as a JPEG, then in Paint.net save it as a .DDS.
  3. Thanks for the suggestion, however mine is cleared and off.
  4. hello, Since the update today, I am getting a "Low Bandwidth" notification, and cannot use Bing graphics. I searched this forum and others seeking a solution however with the massive amounts of threads on this topic, I failed to find one. I have had no issues such as this until this update, and I am wondering if there is something on my end I can do to fix this problem. I checked my internet speed which is 90+ Mbps down, reset my router, and have only essential programs running in the background. My community folder is empty also. I am located in Florida, USA and if anyone can help me I would appreciate it very much. Thank you for reading this.
  5. Thank you for the suggestion, however my mouse is at the default setting. Jack
  6. Hello, when I start MSFS the mouse is always the default controller instead of my Logitech joystick. I have Googled to try and find a file to edit so the joystick is default to no avail. Does anyone know a way to make the joystick the default controller? Thank you for your time, Jack
  7. I have a Steam account, however I'll look for a similar file and try your suggestion tomorrow. Thanks for the help reply sir.
  8. I am enjoying the new CubCrafters NX CUB very much, and learning how not to crash it too often. I did noticed that whatever I do in MSFS, the default plane livery does not display a tail number. I've Google searched to find a way to included one, however I haven't come up with an answer yet. Is there any way I can edit a file in MSFS to display a number? Thanks for your time and any help. Jack
  9. Well I finally beat Microsoft. For some reason most of my download speeds when I was having a problem was about 80+Mbps. The last time I tried to download the speed was in the low 20's at most, and it never disconnected. I'm not a geek at all, however I have downloaded numerous games via Steam, and never had a problem or it being slow. Lets see what happens when an update comes.
  10. Yup, three days of downloading MSFS again via Steam to a new computer, and only 10 GB away! I think I have had over 20 'Blue Screens Of Death' and computer reboots of maybe 30 or more times trying to download this sim. I am a determined, frustrated warrior, however I don't know if I can beat Microsoft. I was almost there yesterday with half a gig to go, and was disconnected from their server. Upon rejoining the server, it stated that I have to reload an additional 88 GB. UGH! :)
  11. This worked for me. Do this before you attempt to enable VR. At the main menu: Options Controls Keyboard On the left side, set Filter to “ALL” In the “SEARCH BY NAME” field type “VR”. You should then see 4 VR-related keybindings. On the line “VR-CAMERA RESET” click the dark grey box to the right of the text Click “START SCANNING” Enter the keypress you want to use (I used CTRL-Space) Click “Validate” Your key binding should now show on the “VR-Camera Reset” line.
  12. Click play and it will take you to the sim where it checks for updates.
  13. You are not alone sir, as I am going through the almost exact same grief as you. I finally caved in after far mour than nine hours of trying to fix, and installed it with no problem on an older computer. I went back to the computer having failed attempts, and formatted the hard drive. I booted up, got everything needed, and commenced to download the sim. It gets to the blue bar and with under 1 GB downloaded, crashes and automatically reboots the computer. I downloaded it via Steam, and as you stated have never had a problem downloading or upgrading a patch for another game. I hope you figure it out, and if you do please let me know. I'll try it again in a few days when I can tolerate the frustration.
  14. Looks better since I changed the NVIDIA setting. Much better color and contrast, and for now I'm a happy camper. 🙂
  15. I had my NVIDIA setting that was at 'default', and changed it to 'Use NVIDIA color settings'. I'll just be happy and grateful with what I have, and thanks again to you and all for helping me out. I really appreciate it!
  16. Thanks very much. I do have what I though was a high quality HDMI cable, and I'll look into the NVIDIA setting you posted.
  17. Thank you. I do have the tv set to 'Game Mode' and suffer no lag either in this sim, or the racing sims I drive. I'll also look into the color settings, altough I'm happy with them now.
  18. Is this it? I'm dizzy now trying to write it down. UN50NU6900FXZA
  19. I am using Ultra at all of the settings. Maybe I just need to clean my glasses! Thanks for the replies.
  20. I don't know how to do that sir. I'll look for that option. I do have it set to 3840 X 2160 resolution if that's what I need to do.
  21. Hello. I have a newer 50" Samsung TV as a monitor that is currently set at 3840 X 2160 / 60P. I have searched the internet trying to determine if this is in fact a true 4K, and now I am really confused as to whether it is or is not. The reason I ask is that running this sim at ULTRA settings, I don't think my image quality in sim is up to the quality of some 4K YouTube videos I view. I know stutter is a problem with some people, however I don't have that and therefore it doesn't add into the equation fortunately. Any help and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
