  1. Thanks, I looked into FSI Panel but it seem s it cannot save panel state in the air. Any other A320s in MSFS that can do an airborne panel state save?
  2. Does V2 of the Fenix have the panel/state/MCDU saving option yet? For example to use when practicing lots of repeat ILS approaches without having to set it all up again.
  3. https://youtu.be/FkVfVDlrfgk Try this tip. Along with deleting the Nvidia shader files, also make sure you delete the rolling cache after each sim update. Also try with a clear community folder..... a stock aircraft and scenery . Let me know if it helps.
  4. Thanks very much guys for the excellent tips. I'm looking to use the virtual cockpit on the PMDG 747. After some research I'm now keen on this https://www.ign.com/articles/new-release-asus-rog-strix-g16-geforce-rtx-4060-gaming-laptop-amazon Also the 4060 laptop GPU (16709 passmark score) for MSFS will be able to use DLSS 3.0 frame generation, which should be decent enough on its 1080p 16" screen. The Intel Core i7 1365HX should have a passmark score of around 30,000.
  5. Hi All, I soon will be doing a lot of travelling and will spend a lot of time in hotel rooms. 🥲 Am thinking of getting a new gaming laptop mainly for Prepar3d v5.0 and the PMDG 747. Also want to hook up a tablet to use as a wireless CDU. What spec of laptop do people recommend to get it running smoothly? Best Regards, WB
  6. Hi all, In VR I am using a Corsair HS80 wireless headset. When my friend tries out my VR setup and I want to talk to him clearly into the headset and give him some flying tips etc, while he enjoys the full sound immersion. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks
  7. I would love to hear Flying Irons' latest post update opinion on their recommended braking setup compared to the real aircraft and the other Spit versions available in IL-2 and DCS. Also the very talented SandyR on the Authentikit discord site has made this script to solve the issue properly in MSFS. (Analogue handbrake and analogue rudder combination issue). Needs full version of FSUIPC7. https://download.authentikit.org/filebase/index.php?file/27-differential-braking-for-the-spitfire/ I think without these controls mapped properly it is very easy to overcontrol on the diff braking.
  8. Hi jaytee73, does your new binded brake axis variably control the hand brake lever in the sim? I just quickly tried it on my sim with a brake on/off button not an axis. Was short on time. Not suitable. Also the brake pressure gauge showing the differential brake pressure when rudder is applied along with brake input was not working properly either as both brakes were eventually being applied not just the one side. Needs further investigation Maybe a limitation of MSFS, as the IL-2 Spitfire sim works much better in this aspect. Its a tricky beast on the ground for sure even without this issue. Maybe easiest just to cheat and use toe brakes like the documentation suggests, but its not as per the real Spitfire.
  9. But the real Spitfire doesn't have brakes on the rudder pedals, it has a control stick mounted brake lever which applies brake pressure equally both sides. Differential brake pressure can be achieved by pushing the rudder pedals while applying the brake lever.
  10. In the real world simulator in the A320 a good rule of thumb when self positioning onto a LOC (no ATC radar vectors) with a 90deg heading intercept, is: Start the turn when : Distance offset from LOC (shown at bottom of ND if you have extended the RWY centerline and/or waypoint sequencing is correct) is 10% of your Groundspeed. eg if your Groundspeed is 180 knots , start the 90deg final turn when 1.8nm away from the LOC. Some people (Top Guns) use 80% of this eg. 1.5nm . but i need to check it in the real sim.
  11. 1) Amber on the slats/flaps indicator means they are locked (inoperable) , In the pic above because you don't have hydraulic power supplied. Start the engines, and make sure the engine driven HYD pumps are all on, 2) Your FADEC is powered if you can see the green N1 data. You may have incorrectly put the IGN switch to IGN at some point earlier?. Do you have a strong wind blowing through the engine? Spinning fan sometimes keeps the FADEC auto powered. Also check the maintenance panel FADEC switch not powered, 3) Is more tricky to troubleshoot. Have you programmed the MCDU fully and correctly first? THR LVR in forward idle detent? Also never press the A/Thrust button on the central FCU on the ground. It will be armed on the takeoff roll when you select Flex or TOGA.
