  1. Make sure that all of the cabin vents are closed as well...they add quite a bit of noise.
  2. I would really like the V tail Bonanza...it was cracker jack in FSX. If they do a warbird I am happy for you guys that want it but I am heavily invested in DCS so I would pass. I think the DCS P51 is quite good, and the P47 is top notch...I often just fly it around the southern coast of England circa 1944, but sightseeing is mostly for MSFS.
  3. FSW LJ in FSX was great...I don't need another plane...but that never stopped me before.I am pumped for this plane. Now that the Comanche is released my hangar will be pretty much complete when the LJ lands.
  4. Me too...see this thread. https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=151&t=74696#p566407 Something about the xml file being corrupted (for some it was Fenix, but I don't have it so???), but you can manually start the HelperA2AserviceMSFS thingy...works for me.
  5. there is four or five hours of flight adventures not including quite a bit of re-fly potential. You can also use it to just fly around any spot and explore. In free fly mode the program basically points you in the direction of POI but you can make routes on the fly and save them for later or to flesh out for a bona fide adventure. Obviously it is best flying GA but they do have some room for use with airliners. There is only one community contribution that I see right now...I intend to add some as soon as I get the chance to dive more into the creator. It is a cool bit of code and I am sure the creators will add content. I have said before in this thread it is well worth the asking price but I would watch the videos carefully...if you are into what it does you won't be disappointed. If you are looking for career mode stuff get Neofly or one of the airline career apps.
  6. But that is what is cool, you can cook all you want...I am still digging through the documentation and haven't had much time yet but the prospect of creating my own content is exciting. If you don't like the presentation of the included flights, create your own...it's kind of the point. Again, horses for courses, but I am feeling good about the software.
  7. Yeah, did that to me (not a fan of storefront clients in general) Some combination of clicking on the license doo-hickey in the client and restarting the program got it to auto log my account.
  8. With just an evening experience I would say that $35 is a fair asking price for the finished program. I can see sinking many hours into creating content let alone using it for flights. I suppose it remains to be seen how active the community will be and how much flying content will added by the developers. It is definitely a unique program...not sure I have seen anything like it before.
  9. Got it and flew the Appalachia tour (as a native Georgian I was very familiar with the area)...very cool. I am already thinking of flights I can create like Mt. Kahtadin in Maine and the Mimbres valley in New Mexico. I enjoy NeoFly and the like but I am not a huge fan of the financial aspects, I get enough of that in real life. This could scratch that "reason to fly" itch ncely. I've only just cracked open the box, but initial impressions are very positive.
  10. The 310R and the 414 are both great twins but I have fifty plus sim hours in the 414 and maybe six in the 310R...Like others have said, it has character. OTHOH I think the 310R in MSFS is much better than in FSX/P3D, it seems more alive, Maybe its the visual effect but the MSFS model feels higher fidelity to me.
  11. I have PF3 and P2ATC and I prefer the latter b/c it has integrated voice control. I can use relatively realistic spoken procedures and P2A does a pretty good job of recognizing them. I have MCE but I could never get PF3 to play nice with it. I also find P2A way easier to set up and use. PF3 does a better job on some procedures and routes but P2A is updated (beta) several times a month and it's getting better with each update. I use "canned" chatter for atmosphere which is integrated into P2A (bought a chatter pack). Having said that...I am not a tube liner guy and fly mostly GA or regional. No ATC solution is perfect, and never has been for any sim, but either one of the above is a huge improvement over the stock ATC. I think it comes down to if you want voice control and what kind of flying you do. For me I want to talk to ATC and I fly lots of different planes/routes with an emphasis on GA so P2A works best for me.
  12. You can use MS free voices...there are directions here:
  13. The Long Way Home by Ed Dover, really good stuff. Free on kindle. https://www.amazon.com/Long-Way-Home-Ed-Dover/dp/061521472X/ref=asc_df_061521472X/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312202813865&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14049114541557898645&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1015550&hvtargid=pla-492658095975&psc=1
  14. Exactly, I reported after having previous posts deleted and...
  15. Not really, but using a word that has been part of the AAVE for a century to cry "censorship" is kind of distasteful, wouldn't you say?
  16. I asked you, I have already been "censored" by mods in this thread, I will deal with it. Do what you want I simply asked...
  17. Please stop using "woke" to express white/conservative victimhood...I am fairly sure you don't even know what it means, that's all.
  18. A family could wander around a museum with Johnny and see naked people...there are no naked people in the marketplace. Microsoft determines what goes into their product, that's capitalism.
  19. I am sure they wouldn't be screaming if they "censored" flying human genitalia...that lot is obsessed with other folks genitalia.
  20. Nobody is telling anyone what they can buy and enjoy. You have choices. Why do ya'll hate capitalism? Keep your culture war mess out of this forum it's boring.
  21. I don't see a lot of chat on //42's Freedom Fox but it is one of my go to planes...I certainly fly it more than the Kodiak (although I do fly the Kodiak quite a bit). I fly a bunch in Alaska and the Fox is perfect for gawking at scenery in MSFS. ///Not sure if this post needs to be moved to another forum 🙂
  22. I'll play... 1)MSFS has a nicely modeled TP Kitfox that you can fly around in...and even land it at TP's house 2) Apparently the bush pilot dude has a metric ton of instructional RL videos in which he fly's another plane modeled in MSFS 3) the video is about planes and flying and MSFS is about planes and flying 4) The video takes place on planet earth and MSFS also takes place on (virtual) planet earth. ...Just a bit of fun, no vitriol or vituperation intended.
  23. I didn't see a thread here so I have linked the official forum discussion, there is some good stuff from the developer. I like her, but I am a vintage junky. She is not for the magenta line crowd although the X model does have a (not removable) gps. I know water physics are not great right now but she handles as well as any other boat/amphib on the water. The price is nice and there are a few youtube shorts to give a general feel for the bird. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/official-discussion-local-legend-iv-savoia-marchetti-s-55/522411
  24. 2.2.0 NEW FEATURES: 1. We are happy to announce that we now have working mixture levers coded (for realism) for a turbocharged engine. You no longer have to lean for higher altitudes nor for above the critical altitude of 21K feet. This new code has a fuel controller to maintain the fuel flow. But also allows you to still set the fuel flow rate. So this way you can set the mixture rich for most of the flight and then when you descend from high altitude you can control the EGT temps so you do not crack the engine head as you now enter warmer air and prepare to land. Was donated and coded by WxMarc... (TurboEngineMixtureController) Can be found on github. https://github.com/WxMarc/TurboEngineMixtureController UPDATES: 1. Flight dynamics updated for control surface effectivness. 2. HSI nav flag tied to the TDS GTN750 as this unit also uses the TO/FROM flags. 3. Gear retraction and extension times updated to accurate times. 4. The default primer mode was disabled on the last update and will stay disabled until we write our own code or Asobo makes some imprvements. We found even when the engine is warn it requires priming and also for a windmill start. So we prefer to have this disabled. 5. One of the right props feather animation was not working. Fixed. 6. Wing tie-down animation rings were not animating. Fixed. 7. NAV 2 instrument/gauge push/pull knob animation was reveresed. Knob is also no longer over reflective. 8. Since the new exterior model with new textures the prop blurred side view was using our old textures and were too strong. Fixed. 9. Emergency gear will now lock all gear down. make sure to lower the main gear handle as well as the emergency handle. 10. The attitude FD flag is now tied to the avionics bus and not the flight director bus. 11. Exterior cowl flap doors now animate full range rather open or closed to match the new cowl flap levewr control.
