  1. Trust me, you are not alone in this way of thinking.
  2. This pretty much sums up the situation, lol.
  3. So, we are all relieved the performance of SU10 now looks like it won't be worse than originally thought. Oooookaaaaay. Ground friction physics are still broken, runway lights are still broken, weather system is still broken, etc. Why bother even releasing SU10 in all honesty? Wouldn't it be better to wait until the core problems of the sim are actually addressed instead of putting out updates to simply gain a modest performance increase? My feeling is that SU10 was developed mostly (if not entirely) to address problems with Xbox compatibility whilst at the same time addressing some superficial performance problems with MSFS2020. No groundbreaking new features at all. Sad.
  4. I feel like if R.R. were in charge of building the Egyptian Pyramids for the Pharaohs, they would still be in the planning stage today.
  5. PMDG are going to do an overhaul of the LNAV logic for the 737 product line. Wait - they just did an overhaul of LNAV logic with the release of the 600. I'm sure you're just imagining the anomaly you're seeing or it's the fault of Navigraph data. Wait - PMDG don't use Navigraph data since the LNAV overhaul, do they? Hmmmm. Probably, PMDG are going overhaul the LNAV logic that they just finished overhauling. I'm getting a headache trying to keep everything straight.
  6. Nothing misleading about this at all. Asobo haven't fixed ground friction and it's very doubtful they ever will; Microsoft sure didn't ever fix it during the 15+ year reign of FSX. Correct ground friction physics don't sell Flight Simulator to 99 percent of the potential customer base. A Halo Drop Ship? You bet the Xbox crowd chirps loudly for stuff like that. Money talks, but physics are best downplayed in the grand scheme of things.
  7. Flying at night in FS2020 is, well, weird. It seems every major road is lit up at night whether you're flying over a city or in remote rural areas in place where I don't even think they have electricity, lol. This is incredibly unrealistic. Another thing we have to live with I suppose?
  8. Thanks guys for the info - kinda figured as much. Just no. MSFS2020 uninstalled, XBox Game Pass subscription canceled. Total loss to me: $1 Frustration factor avoided: priceless. SSD space recovered: 150mb Prepar3d, prepar3e to be loved all over again. 😘
  9. Hello, I'm a new user of FS2020 and I've noticed two glaring issues (no pun intended): 1) All airport runway edge lights stay on 24 hrs a day instead of turning off/on at dusk and dawn or reduced visibility conditions. 2) Runway edge lights are curiously not visible at all from side views, i.e., when flying a normal traffic pattern during downwind. It's really quite impossible to fly a normal traffic pattern when one can't see the runway at night. ;) Are these two lighting conditions something users simply must learn to accept or will a fix be available sometime in the future? Thank you.
