Cockpit in the Palm of YOUR Hands? ECHO Aviation Controller
I have owned one of these for about 3 weeks. Like a lot of you I have a dedicated rig with rudder pedals, honeycomb bravo with custom throttles, MOZA AB9, and a bunch of winwing stuff. However my rig is in a seperate room and flight sim is not a quick hobby, so I do feel like im a little estranged from my family when simming. I own a gaming laptop so I decided to try this and I love it. Its not perfect, the hat switch should be on the other side and the triggers are just buttons which makes braking a chore I also wish it had force feedback. The rudders on the back and the gear parking brake and flaps on the bottom are super intuitive. I only fly the airliners but I have had a lot of time in all of them. It has gotten a ton of use and its super easy to just start of flight sim and do a quick flight from the comfort of my living room. To be honest I have only touched my rig twice since getting it. Im sure that will change once the newness has worn off but if you have a similar situation to mine this is 100% worth a buy imo. There is another similar controller in the works by Meridian GMT (old honeycomb founders news company) and that looks like it might even be better, but who knows if and when it will come out.

Next Version of MS Flight Sim will be in year...
2024 just got to a point where most people will use it. Realistically I think 2028, but im not eager to swtich again since I just now got all my planes, apps and payware working in the last few months.

Glideslope.com
They used to be BMWORLD. They were removed from a bunch of third party sites for accusations of alleged piracy. They rebranded as Glideslope. Im not sure if its new team. As far as their airports, they are legit and very good models. They are performance heavy but I own quite a few of them and would recommend if you are in the market.

The TFDi MD-11 is now released
Just wanted to post my experience with my first flight. I preordered last week and was able to pre download so fortunately I was able to avoid the installation and purchase issues. This is a really awesome plane, while not quite "full study level" as there are no failures (apparently coming in a later update), but 95% of the systems work and if you are someone who disables failures anyway, this is a complete plane. I wouldn't say Fenix or PMDG level but extremely close, more on the level of the Inbuilds A300-600 (maybe a little better). Full AP pilot including full VNAV and LNAV as well as a well programed FMC with everything needed for vatsim. The sounds are top tier, im tempted to say it is the best sounding airliner in the game at the moment, youtube doesn't do it justice, it is truly great. While I have never flown a MD11 in real life I imagine this is very similar as the flight characteristics match what I have heard from people who flew the MD11. I was a skeptic of this to be honest, I didn't like the preorder thing they did but I was still confident in TFDI as ACARs is great, and I know they have made an airliner in the past. But im happy to say that this is great. Really great time for the flight sim community with this and the 777, and the MAX the 777F, the A350 and A380 all on the horizon most likely this year. Feels like the long wait between the 737/Fenix until now is finally over.

Strange PMDG 737 bug
I have been getting this for the last few weeks, randomly. Normally just reloading the sim fixes it for me, but I did have it happen during landing the other day and couldn't do anything

PMDG 777 Released
Yeah coming from the 737 other than the cold and dark, very similar to fly (if not easier since more is auto managed). I was also very surprised how smooth it was to land. I was expecting to crash it since it was my first heavy in the game, but it ended up being the smoothest landing I have ever had in the sim. I also managed to try the time compression feature (only went up to 8x) on my flight from JFK to EGLL, was a block time of 6.5 hours, I flew it up to TOC and picked it back up at the TOD, and had zero issues, had a long taxi at JFK but it cut 3 hours off with a total block time of 3.5 hours.

No Live Weather
Seemed fine for me today but the other morning was flying in Seattle and the weather kept going from cloudy and rainy to sunny every 2 or 3 minutes. Glad to see its a known issue.
