A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
That shouldn’t happen either you did something wrong or you used an older version i recommend version 4.3.0 or 4.3.1

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
The reason for this has been explained like 3 times and the simple answer is asobo’s implementation in SU4 sucks. it cause your mainthread to load up which in turn causes your fps to drastically crash this mod had the positive side effect to fix this issue.. while not primarily aimed for the 50xx or the 40xx series of cards since they have a native FG functionality

What's With Frame Gen?
Why are you insisting in every post not to let people use the mod? Why are you spreading false information? This is literally the only fix for this issue Yet you’re here playing on 1080 P and saying you’re gonna have plenty of FPS of of course with the resolution from 2010 you’re gonna have a ton of FPS but when it’s coming to 1440P or 4K the equation changes a lot The only hassle with installing the mod is getting over your false comments

What's With Frame Gen?
Hi there, it’s an issue that has been playing The sim SU3 beta it was fixed temporarily, and then came back again and SU4 and what you’re describing is exactly this issue you can try them out yourself and see the results obviously there’s no harm in using it.. there’s a lot of posts on it in the MSFS official forums I have a post about it here you can check all the links relating to this issue

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
Greetings everyone I have seen a lot of comments with people who do not suffer from this issue obviously this post is for the people who does and naturally as human beings if you have this issue, you would comment and try to fix if it works for you then OK if it doesn’t then that’s it.. But commenting the following like “no need for this mod” and “I couldn’t care less about this issue” and “ I don’t have this issue” all stem from the core problem of those who didn’t read the post and maybe stop for a minute and thought maybe I should skip instead of filling the post with comments and related to the issue and then putting words into my mouth like calling them dummies and handicap which I didn’t I simply asked for them to read the post and see if they are the target audience for this fix.. now, even when sharing the original thread about this issue in the MSFS forums people are still convinced that is insignificant issue.. when in fact it’s a major issue and it’s going to get worse if it didn’t get reported, but thankfully, the devs have the bug logged Not to mention that this issue has been brought up, although in other ways, and yet they still think that the post intended for everyone when it’s intended for a small group of people that are facing the problem.. READ THE POST CAREFULLY IF YOU DO NOY HAVE THIS ISSUE THIS SKIP AS IF YOU DID NOT EVEN SEE IT

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
it could be the drop in fps is so strange and sometimes less aggressive to the point people might not notice until it’s time to setup for the approach.. the issue itself affects mainly people with 100fps+ but also people with less than that.. it manifests as tiny drop in performance.. example you parked at the gate say KJFK your fps is 100 and then you start programing your FMC and calling GSX and communicating with the controller as this all happens your FPS will 99fps 98fps 97fps… until it reaches 80s or 70s but the problem most people here would come bitter and say be grateful 70fps is more than enough but the thing is it’s a stutter fest 70fps and not a smooth one.. with the mod if get 100fps it’ll will never drop incrementally like this and leading into stutters and performance drops.. this why it’s a necessity with current situation

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
Then again this post not for you or about you.. it’s for the people struggling since SU4Beta and SU4.. you just simply not intended audience for this workaround and a bit or reading would’ve made this info clear but as evident by your statement you just simply didn’t read and said it’s something you don’t care about and i see a very concerning conflict in what you stated and what you ended up doing..

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
How exactly this issue for Nvidia to fix and not asobo when they even logged it as a well known bug on their forums.. or you just wanna write something and that’s it ? FG in every single game works as intended and no such issues like the ones here occur.. yet you can’t simply read when i even put the thread from msfs forums above..

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
You just remove the verison.dll that’s it if want to uninstall it it’s literally in the mod’s page instructions

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
The destruction of the mainthread occurs without this Mod.. hence why I said it’s necessary! using the native one from sim destroys the performance yet you people do not read at all

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
This not about you come down and this main character mentality is just obnoxious you’re not the audience for this fix and if can get 120fps native then again it confirms you’re not the audience for it

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
People this fix is intended for 50xx series a cards with native MFG and also the 40xx with native FG The native implementation in the game unlike other games causes performance issues instead of helping with them My recommendation for the 40xx cards is 2x again if dont own a 4090 don’t attempt moren 2x with it’s gonna become artifacty As for 50xx cards use the what ever you want MFG is native to your card This mod kids essentially a way to fix the horrible performance issues that destroys your mainthread upon using frame gen I shouldn’t be doing all of this explaining when if you are someone who encounter this issue use this fix if you don’t just skip https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/main-thread-loads-up-more-and-more-and-doesnt-recover/729018/761 i hope when someone tries to challenge or debunk the fix they should take look at this so they understand..

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
Congrats but this mod is necessary anyone with the mainthread issue know exactly that without the mod the FPS wouldn’t be so stable and the main threat would go haywire And of course with a 4090 artifacts shouldn’t even appear, but with someone with lower graphics card the equation is gonna become so different and I’m not sure what are you exactly pointing out with this if you don’t know the issue or haven’t experienced that yourself no need to comment and try to debunk the whole thing I just thought sharing it with people would help them like I do it because it sucks having your FPS plummet just because the implementation is poor and the only fix for it is this mod

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
Reading the post would’ve given the answer.. but I’ll explain.. on nvidia graphics card enabling from gen cause the mainthread to load up and depending on the system and setting it can range from destroying your fps completely or making it a slide show.. the mod a positive side effect of fixing the issue with native framegen implementation and i’ve been using it With 3x frame gen i see no artifacts or graphical anomalies.. i own a 5080 what the people have been discussing since Wednesday is the possibility of getting MFG on older gpus like the which i also own 4080 and it works only with 2x but beyond that it’s artifacts galore and it also solves the same issue that occurs with native nvidia implementation

A fix for frame generation causing mainthread load up
I found a solution for this problem After searching for over a month and a half I finally concluded that installing DLSS enabler by Nexus mods https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/757 It removed the strange anomaly associated with the frame generation making your mainthread load up to the point it causes your frames to drop beyond recovery.. this issue was first observed in SU3 beta and somehow made its way to the main release and then was fixed temporarily in SU4Beta but then appeared more aggressively in main release SU4! and was fixed temporarily in the first 2 SU5 Betas and its back in SU5 beta.. it’s safe to say asobo is ignoring it and it baffles me as is to why the wouldn’t fix it.. I tested this for about a week and a half with multiple aircraft and multiple scenery add-ons my testing included: PMDG 777 family + inibuilds a350/a340/L1011 tristar + ifly 737 max + fenix a320 family… —— all considered to be heavy on the performance from a vram and cpu standpoint, after installing the mod somehow KJFK to EHAM and VHHH to KSFO and OMDB to LSZH and KLAS to KSEA and EGLL to EGPF became possible with performance never dropping at all a stable FPS no matter the conditions.. I simply could not believe my eyes but after a week and a half I would say that this is a great solution and a work around it, depending on your understanding of it and it could be a great thing to carry over an SU5.. — installation instructions just paste the version.dll into your content folder for MSFS 2024 — i hope this fixes the issue for everyone it’s been a headache

Severe FPS Drop at Night MSFS 2024 (All Airports, All Airc
With DLSS it never happens but with TAA or DLAA or no anti aliasing seems it trigger it!

Severe FPS Drop at Night MSFS 2024 (All Airports, All Airc
I understand your point of view but it’s a choppy stuttery 90fps.. and yes it’s a cause for concern losing 26fps for only during night is something that should be alarming to anyone.. image someone having 60fps losing 20+fps and dropping to the 40~30s is not gonna look good.. not everyone can afford such loss.

Severe FPS Drop at Night MSFS 2024 (All Airports, All Airc
Hi everyone, I’ve recently started experiencing a major performance issue in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, specifically during nighttime operations. Issue Summary During the day, performance is stable at around 116 FPS At night, FPS drops significantly to around 90 FPS (or lower) This happens consistently at all major airports, regardless of location or aircraft Tested Locations I’ve tested across multiple major airports, including: VHHH (Hong Kong) KJFK (New York JFK) EGLL (London Heathrow) OMDB (Dubai) YSSY (Sydney) EHAM (Amsterdam) EGCC (Manchester) EFHK (Helsinki) The issue occurs universally across all of them. Troubleshooting Already Done Cleared the Community folder (no add-ons) Tested with default aircraft only Completely removed and reinstalled NVIDIA drivers using DDU Monitored thermals and VRAM usage (everything normal) No signs of CPU/GPU throttling or spikes Key Observation The issue is strictly tied to nighttime Daytime performance remains perfectly stable Night performance is consistently degraded regardless of settings or scenario System Specs CPU: i9-14900K (water-cooled) GPU: RTX 5070 Ti RAM: 32GB DDR4 @ 3600MHz Storage: 4TB (2× SSDs) Monitor: Alienware AW3418DW (G-SYNC) Additional Notes This issue started suddenly, without any clear change on my end No recent hardware changes or known system instability Performance drop feels rendering-related (lighting?) rather than hardware limitation Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Azrsim LFPG & EHAM coming
Not to mention their atrocious optimization.. i’m sure that everyone going to be running their sceneries like slideshows.

Azrsim LFPG & EHAM coming
Also Riyadh and Baghdad.. worst purchases of my life and now they’re creating LFPG and EHAM! Good luck running those sceneries with at least 5 FPS

FS2024 Mainthread existencial question...
I managed to solve the issue by disabling Nvidia Reflex via UserCfg ! 1- REFLEX to OFF 2- and set the UserCfg File to Read Only! Via properties apparently it caused me so much issues and now I’m testing in various airports including ini JFK and Performance Drops at all! Currently doing KJFK - LEMD and So Far it’s been Great

FS2024 Mainthread existencial question...
Yeah, with your current specs, I’d expect that but that’s not my question. I was asking how much frame rate are you getting?

FS2024 Mainthread existencial question...
Fps?

FS2024 Mainthread existencial question...
I disabled Off screen Pre caching and still the issue is persisting
