April 3Apr 3 I found a solution for this problem After searching for over a month and a half I finally concluded that installing DLSS enabler by Nexus mods https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/757 It removed the strange anomaly associated with the frame generation making your mainthread load up to the point it causes your frames to drop beyond recovery.. this issue was first observed in SU3 beta and somehow made its way to the main release and then was fixed temporarily in SU4Beta but then appeared more aggressively in main release SU4! and was fixed temporarily in the first 2 SU5 Betas and its back in SU5 beta.. it’s safe to say asobo is ignoring it and it baffles me as is to why the wouldn’t fix it.. I tested this for about a week and a half with multiple aircraft and multiple scenery add-ons my testing included: PMDG 777 family + inibuilds a350/a340/L1011 tristar + ifly 737 max + fenix a320 family… —— all considered to be heavy on the performance from a vram and cpu standpoint, after installing the mod somehow KJFK to EHAM and VHHH to KSFO and OMDB to LSZH and KLAS to KSEA and EGLL to EGPF became possible with performance never dropping at all a stable FPS no matter the conditions.. I simply could not believe my eyes but after a week and a half I would say that this is a great solution and a work around it, depending on your understanding of it and it could be a great thing to carry over an SU5.. — installation instructions just paste the version.dll into your content folder for MSFS 2024 — i hope this fixes the issue for everyone it’s been a headache

Reading the post would’ve given the answer.. but I’ll explain.. on nvidia graphics card enabling from gen cause the mainthread to load up and depending on the system and setting it can range from destroying your fps completely or making it a slide show.. the mod a positive side effect of fixing the issue with native framegen implementation and i’ve been using it With 3x frame gen i see no artifacts or graphical anomalies.. i own a 5080 what the people have been discussing since Wednesday is the possibility of getting MFG on older gpus like the which i also own 4080 and it works only with 2x but beyond that it’s artifacts galore and it also solves the same issue that occurs with native nvidia implementation Edited April 3Apr 3 by Aboodyking

Congrats but this mod is necessary anyone with the mainthread issue know exactly that without the mod the FPS wouldn’t be so stable and the main threat would go haywire And of course with a 4090 artifacts shouldn’t even appear, but with someone with lower graphics card the equation is gonna become so different and I’m not sure what are you exactly pointing out with this if you don’t know the issue or haven’t experienced that yourself no need to comment and try to debunk the whole thing I just thought sharing it with people would help them like I do it because it sucks having your FPS plummet just because the implementation is poor and the only fix for it is this mod
April 3Apr 3 So the solution is to put the version.dll in the exe folder and leave FG at 2x? 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
April 4Apr 4 The download zip file will unzip to exactly one file : version.dll Drop it into the folder that contains flightsimulator2024.exe Boot up msfs2024. Push the ` (tilda) key, you should see a menu pop open from the left if the mod is working. I am not going to change anything in the pop open window myself, so I closed it. But I know the mod is working. Click on the ships wheel (settings) and look in the Frame Multiplier box. I have a 4070 and the choice used to be only 2x. Now it is 2x, 3x, 4x because of the mod. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. April 4Apr 4 I tried 4x and 3x, I never any artifacts that I notice. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. April 4Apr 4 Does it do anything if you just leave FG on 2x? 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

April 4Apr 4 Author People this fix is intended for 50xx series a cards with native MFG and also the 40xx with native FG The native implementation in the game unlike other games causes performance issues instead of helping with them My recommendation for the 40xx cards is 2x again if dont own a 4090 don’t attempt moren 2x with it’s gonna become artifacty As for 50xx cards use the what ever you want MFG is native to your card This mod kids essentially a way to fix the horrible performance issues that destroys your mainthread upon using frame gen I shouldn’t be doing all of this explaining when if you are someone who encounter this issue use this fix if you don’t just skip https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/main-thread-loads-up-more-and-more-and-doesnt-recover/729018/761 i hope when someone tries to challenge or debunk the fix they should take look at this so they understand.. This not about you come down and this main character mentality is just obnoxious you’re not the audience for this fix and if can get 120fps native then again it confirms you’re not the audience for it
April 4Apr 4 4070 12 GB. 5800X3D I'm using it and set at 3X. No artifacts. At least I don't see any artifacts that I notice. It makes the cpu run about 4 degrees hotter which may be why others are getting CTDs. On my system cpu temps run up to max of 83 with this mod. and up to 79 without the mod. I didn't see any destruction of mainthread when not using this mod with native FG on. I never use TAA for anti alias, always DLSS. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. April 4Apr 4 But my global rendering is on high end. If I use Ultra, then the temps are higher, high 80s with this mod. I use High End and then move both LODS from 100 to 125. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
