Hello, fellow Avsim members in P3D forum. So, from some time I own a copy of Technobrain RJTT airport and surrounding area. But, I am little displeased with it. So, the problem I am facing is that the ground textures look a little default to me and I wanna change them. I had already attempted to make them look better with custom asphalt / concrete textures, but for some weird reason only the concrete is changing as texture. I created the textures in Photoshop, then copy / pasted them on top of the other textures in DxtBMP. That is not my first time in which I am making textures, I had made a lot of different airplane liveries with those two programs as well. I even attempted using the Airport Design Editor to change the textures of the aprons and runways via the list menu. But, in both variants I can't change them with the textures I want, they always export with the textures that are default for those of the airport. I paid significant money for this airport, in my country I pay twice bigger price for this scenery, so I want it to look better. It is not my first time to change ground textures, I had done that to ImagineSim WSSS because there I did not like the ground textures as well. I will be glad on any advice how to make this airport ground textures look better. I want to do this in relation to my this years World trip movie, that will contain arrival and departure at this airport [ I chose it for the surrounding area]. Any help is greatly appreciated. Btw, forgot - the changed textures look like this: So, thank in advance.

When I load an extended BMP that has a size of 1024x768 into DXTBMP, it re-sizes the image to 1024x1024 and blurs it a little. I have no issue importing DDS files, like from exterior textures. Can someone explain why this is happening and/or help fix this? Thanks!

Just started to mess around with paint.net. I've put a request in for a repaint of this aircraft (no harm in asking!), but in the meantime I'm trying to have a go myself. Here's one of the existing schemes which I decided to use as a base - Nice wave of colour. I decided to change the white parts and get rid of the company logos. I use DXTBmp to open the texture then send the image to paint.net to play with it. I guess I got lucky with the grey - just filled in the white with a paintbucket! Didn't work with the forward wings though - that texture includes other components which I didn't want re-colouring. That's the hard part I guess, going around the texture placing random splashes of bright colour just to see where it shows on the model. Whilst the green is nice and glossy I want to change it to another colour. From the tutorials I've seen I think it's just like using a colouring book - I can't select the green on it's own I just have to paint up to the line and don't go over it LOL! Early days...
