I am using Carenado PC-12 v1.3 on XPLane11 build 11.41. There doesn't seem to be a dedicated PC-12 / XPlane11 forum so I am asking here about a shortcut key for thrust reversers. First, I had the key <F2> working about a year ago to activate thrust reversers. Then I had a drive crash and reinstalled windows 10 and XPlane 11. Now I find that key - or any other - does not work. I can manually move the throttle back to the reverse position and reverse works as it should. But no key or key combination I have tried - and I've tried dozens - will work. I've tried all the items in Engines-Thrust Reverse, Engines-Throttle, Engines-Basic-Toggle Thrust reversers, etc. My joystick throttle does not have a detent for reverse so I'd really like to hit a key for reverse on landing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Doug

Dears, i need a binding for the reversers on my Honeycomb Throttle for the Milviz Kingair. have tried all combinations in the Honeycomb config program for P3d. it is loading the VARs, i see them in the SIM. But the aircraft is not reacting ! eg Throttle1_DECR but all others have also tried. Throttle Set, all with Reverse. no joy the milviz kingair is a high sophiisticated aircraft. cannot belive they have no VARs for the reverse. its an essential function. And so good manuals included, eg the PL21 FMS is very good documented. but the essential hardware binding for thrust reverse not documented. how am i supposed to land the aircrafft with no reversers ! i can live with no beta function during taxi but reverses is essential. fiddelilng with the mouse will not happen sorry. have not found any binding possibility in the p3d hardware control menu for reverse thrust or beta (no issue in xp or msfs) pls help best regards Franz

I found a couple of great fsuipc LUA scripts to use with the NGX for those who use hardware throttles like the saitek, think one been mentioned before in a posting, but thought I'd create a single thread and republish for those new NGX users or lucky simmers that got hardware for Christmas. The first is a great LUA that allows you to easily set and control reverse thrust. Basically you can assign a throttle lever so that when you bring it all the way down past the detent on the saitek throttle hardware which activates the button it puts the engines into reverse, so now when you push the levers forward you are controlling the amount of reverse thrust, so operating just like a throttle lever but controlling reverse, dropping it back to idle disengages reverse and you have normal throttle control, so it's a more realistic way of having reverse. You can map this to one lever, or two levers if you use multiple levers to control each engine. To me it's a very good way of making use of your throttles to better mirror how it be in real life just without a physical reverse thrust lever to pull. Link http://forum.simflight.com/topic/69388-throttle-manager-to-allow-axis-forwardreverse-toggle/ Second one which comes with fsuipc and is in the LUA examples file, is a sync one. This is great for helping with correcting the issues that effect the throttle levers especially as they get older where although the physical position of two levers may look the same on your hardware, they haven't sent the same amount of travel to the sim so can find it hard to get your engines in sync. Basically it monitors the engines and if they not quite synced it automatically syncs them, it still allows you to apply different thrust to each engine(say for turns on the ground etc) due to the parameters it uses for out of sync. But it's a great tool for flying manually especially approaches and not finding you have varying thrust on each engine due joystick calibration issues. Combined with the LUA above it again excellent at ensuring you apply symmetrical reverse thrust. These have really enhanced my use of the NGX and hardware.

I am having problems with reverse thrust in the Boeing 787 and Boeing 747. The A320NX reverse works ok. I have a separate profile setup for this a/c. I have allocated a button on my Saitek X55 to enable reverse thrust. This seemed to work switching to reverse but as soon as I increase the throttle again the reversers close. I tried to set another button to HOLD Reverse Thrust but that does not seem to do anything. Can anyone tell me if there is a particular way to set this up? Thank you, Baz
