October 31, 200223 yr Commercial Member Hello Captains! We here at PMDG are getting very excited about our latest MSFS2k2 project, the 737NG! We want you to get excited to, and would love for you to participate in the development of this product! Among endless lines of code already in development and an outrageously detailed cockpit, we are well into the modeling process of the exterior model. We'd like to know what you want to see in a modern airliner. What little details do you want to see as you taxi around your favorite airport or soaring over the clouds? Do you want to be able to open the cowling to look over the GE CFM56-7b Engines? What about a deployable escape chute? Individual fan blades? Texture details?Whatever detail, big or small... we want to know what you want to see on the 737NG's exterior model. Here is your chance to let us know! October 31, 200223 yr Hiya Vin, I suppose reasonable frame rates and perhaps a feature which allows you to see the flaps, slats and airbrakes move accordingly to what the pilot is doing from the cabin. This feature is coming out with most new GMAX airport, the ariane for example. What ya think?:-hmmm
October 31, 200223 yr Hi Vin,You probably don't want to hear what I want ... give me NO (zero) exterior visuals but smooth 100% realistic avionics and I will be in heaven. To this end I think you should 'investigate' what Reality-XP offers in terms of brand new approach to gauge creation in FS2k2 ! ;-)Michael J. Michael J.
October 31, 200223 yr Hi Vin:Yes, fully detailed 737NG like Ariane, highly detailed flaps, slats, ect. I like to see a fully programable FMS that does not use MS default autopilot, similar to PIC 767 autopoilot. Maybe you can offer both men and women pilot and first offer in cockpit. Realistic sounds, buttoms, like APU startup. Thanks for asking.Charles
November 1, 200223 yr Yep, I agree with Michael. No external visuals required. Just a good virtual cockpit and realistic instruments.David
November 1, 200223 yr Agree fully with Michael. One must say that FS Gauges have a ridiculous update rate. Reality XP people are going the right way in that issue. Aniway, one wish to add: Very precise instruments of course, with a kind of technology close to the XP reality technology, AND - IMPORTANT - the possibily to run the instruments by themself on a second computer as Schirattis gauges do.RegardsRoger
November 2, 200223 yr Focus on the panel work, leave the ultra-detailed exterior models to the freeware groups. They're doing a great job at it. Make sure they can hook up their planes to your panel, though. I'd like to see an anti-aliased PFD/ND that works smoothly, with good frame rates. I'd like a panel that remembers placement of panel windows across multiple monitors. Decent support for the Aerosoft MCP747. And decent sound modelling: it adds more to a realistic feel than most people imagine. 767PIC is tough to beat in this aspect, but worth giving it a try any time!-Florian
December 16, 200223 yr I think the most important is avionics, then the flightdeck and all the things should work, overhead, side pannels, middle console even the circut breakers as a real plane. Then if you have time we can paint an exterior if you wish.I also think its important to let anybody repaint it link the guys from Dreamfleet.Last but not least, serious pilots like to look outside through the cockpit window and not zoom out 50 feet behing and 150feet higher then the plane itself, i just heve never seen a pilot do that in reallity. So go fo it like the other things you guys have made. Indide first outside.....???MikePolarairways the way to flywww.polarairways.com
December 16, 200223 yr what? the exterior is not important?!?!? do you want a 737 like the A2002 V1 one?!?!? http://www.schockwellenreiter.de/images3/headshake.gifplease, please @pmdg: dont listen to them!!!! http://www.schockwellenreiter.de/images4/anbet2.gif-------------------------------------------best,http://mitglied.lycos.de/sithious/banner.gif RoyalSkies.CO.UK Youtube Vidz !My website will be back soon with new paints and videos! December 16, 200223 yr |Sorry if i offended anybody :-eek but is flightsimulator a simulator so i'm the pilot and i want to have control as real as it gets or do i just look at the outside of the aircraft and count the rivits in the aluminium.I just expressed my feelings, flying and the view outside like terrain and skylines are more important for the flight experience and not the exterior of any aircraft. Now if you are talking about the planes on the ground when taxing then yes it is nice to see that a 737 has two engines and not on like a v1.:-walksmile (Although they really look different anyways, just look at the launching) ;)Polarairways the way to fly.polarairways.comThe independant VA from HOLLANDHUBS in Amsterdam (EHAM), Boston(KBOS) and Singapore (WSSS) ;)

December 16, 200223 yr Commercial Member Great pic! :-lol Have no fear, the PMDG 737NG will have something to please everyone; both those who like exteriors, and those who love interiors...
