June 11, 200322 yr Commercial Member Daniel->This is totally useless. Eating your framerates for interior>details. I'd rather prefer them to concentrate on flight>dynamics and aircraft systems rather than candies like that. One of the reasons why you have screenshots of "eye candy" is that you simply cannot take a screenshot of the hundreds of dampers, controllers and control logic for the autopilot. Nor can you take pictures of the engine model (who's performance is almost flawless with respect to the engine manuals...) or the flight model....Many of our beta testers have thousands of hours experiences flying the 737NG, and they have put the flight model through extremis- only to report back that it not only performs according to the book- it is well behaved as well. (There is a difference between performance and behavior.)[specifically he simulated the "dual engine failure" and followed his company's recommended maneuver. The airplane settled into a descent at exactly the parameters he expected to see after having flown the maneuver in the training simulator.]Unfortunately- I can't take a screenshot of that either. How about the cabin temperature rate of change logic? You can heat and cool the cabin using the temperature controllers- and the cabin temperature increases/decreases according to a realistic rate of change that includes such variables as SAT around the airframe and whether or not you are running both A/C packs- and whether those units are running in AUTO or HIGH modes.Hard to take a picture of that too....So anyway- enjoy the "eye candy" as it is a good indication of what is under the skin of this beautiful airplane....(And thanks for signing your second post, Danny- we require names in our forum!) June 11, 200322 yr When you turn on the fuel when starting the engines please say they don't react like the DF737. (Is it nice and smoooooooth?) :-)Paul
June 11, 200322 yr VIN!!! WHERE ARE MY CABIN ROW NUMBERS?!?! :-lol VERY nice. I'm dying for it. :)Cheers,http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/12447.jpgMember of the [a href=http://ffg.avsim.net" target="_blank]Freeware Flight Group [/a]
June 11, 200322 yr Danny,>>Give as more details about flying that 737What specifically are you looking for? I, or one for the other testers, would be happy to answer any of your specific questions. In summary, I think the community will be very happy with the products flight dynamics, systems and visuals.George George Morris
June 11, 200322 yr he he he Daniel.... I'll be sure to post a shot for you when it's ready... No worries... It is in the plan :-)
June 11, 200322 yr Good to hear more about flight realism. I agree you can't make a screen of it but you may write about it :)
June 12, 200322 yr Hi,Would like to see these shots but they are just showing up as two red 'x's??Sounds good anyway ;-)Mark
June 12, 200322 yr Hi Vin!Will this kite be combatble with the "PFC" "Jetliner Console"? I ask, because I have found that if the Heading bug, Course heading bug, Altitude setting or Autopilot are not standard, then it's no go!Like your site and the 737 looks mouth-watering good.CheersClive Northrop
June 12, 200322 yr Commercial Member Clive-Mike Altman of PFC has contacted us many times. We've responded back in kind, but every single time, have received no reply from him whatsoever (as if he doesn't receive our emails). If you wish to tell him that, be our guest! ;-)Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
June 12, 200322 yr Joaquin,I'm one of the guys slapping coats of virtual paint on the 737NG and I'm not really up on the systems aspect of this airplane. I can tell you from what little operations I've conducted in the cockpit and from discussions with the beta team, that this airplane models the real life 737NG very, very closly. I'm sure some of the beta testers or the system guys of the airplane will answer your questions better. Just wanted to give you a perspective from a duffer, one who just like to get in the cockpit, set the flaps and take-off. I very rearly land, just like looking at the plane in spot view or tower view as she flies over the countryside. http://www.precision...GX_Dev_Team.jpg PMDG Graphic Designer
June 12, 200322 yr With all that room between rows, you folks are never going to make any money flying these birds!Wish my airline gave me two windows per row!Colin Ware
June 12, 200322 yr I'm a PMDG fan from the Fly2 days. I have their 757 and 777. As a result, the 737 is a mandatory buy for me. I can't wait!!!!!
