Frame Rate are Ridiculous!!!!!

I think your right Tero although I've seen some AMD users having problems as well, not nearly as many as the Intel system though.

>Hello,>>I beg to differ.>>The NG is NOT a frame killer. The VC suffers some problems>that lead to very very low frames, but it will be taken care>of.>Sorry but how the hell can you go making a statement like that!. I assure you it is a FPS killer on my 'high end machine' in all senses VC, 2D and Exterior model..1 second i have great FPS the next it's like 5-10FPS. It should certainly should not be for the specs i saw were required when i purchased it! and all the money i paint. I was so looking forward to this product i am deeply dissapointed it..it may look perfect on the exterior but had some serious internal problems. Please, please fix this prob...I really want to love this product..it is spot on in design and asthetics. :)

...and you think that they tested it only on AMD systems? I rather suspect that they tested it on both types and if they had any testers with performance as bad as people are reporting, they would not have released it. On my system, it takes at LEAST 2 minutes, just to load the aircraft at all (2D panel only), never mind flying it! There is definitely something amiss that needs addressing. I wonder about DX versions and what it was tested with.Andy RallsEGTRAsus P4T533, P4-2.53, 512Mb, GF4600, XP-SP1

Hmmm, stange that your machine should buck the trend. I take it you're running XP? Why not try setting a fixed page file of 1Gb? Can't do any harm can it?Cheers,

It's time to check your system.. My system is a 2.5 Ghz Athlon and 1 GB DDR ram, Radeon 8500 dual head video card, another Radeon 7000 video card (Catlyst 3.5 drivers), FS Genisis Mesh terrain and SimFlyers KLAX and KLAS. Framre rates locked at 30 fps and that's what I get, 30 FPS ALL the time...I run 3 monitors in FS with no hit that I can detect. Hang in there, the problem isn't with the plane.... Mike B.

> Hang in there, the problem isn't with the plane....>No offence but your wrong :)...it's funny how EVERY other aircraft i have on my system including most of the Payware models get fantastc FPS 25+ ALWAYS...and with this aircraft (interior and exterior) i get terrible fps one second and exellent other seconds.

Well Ben,The hell how I can make a statement like that is because my computer is not even as fast as yours and I still enjoy stable good frames, even in the outside view.Seeing your specs I see that you also have an Intel machine, like the majority of complainers (whose specs I have seen).I see no point in bashing it to be a frame killer, when obviously there are machines, low end and high end, that don't suffer from low FPS. As simple as that.Tero

Yet another person with an AMD rig getting good solid performance.Of course the aircraft itself is to blame (if indeed every other aircraft is working fine), but I wonder why it affects mostly the Intel people. Strage ...Tero

Strage ...>>Tero>>> Kinda of funny that I keep seeing this AMD vs Pentium crap, reminds of my drag racing days of Ford vs Chevy! :) They are both good !!!I've run AMD for years, as well as Pentium's. AMD's give alot of bang for the buck by my latest purchase, the P4 1000+Mhz FSB rocks any AMD i've ever had. I have 7 computers in my sim network and they are a mix of both. All work quite well. The biggest difference in performance comes from the motherboard, ram, video card.Rob

Rob,If you had read the messages more carefully, you would've noticed that this ain't a traditional AMD vs. Pentium -crap issue. It's something that obviously is happening here, you like it or not. They are both good, and I'm not interested to think about which is better. But they are not like, and that's what can cause differences in behaviour. Computer components are not in my list of things to argue about :).Tero

Folks, if you can just calm down a minute :-) I have posted a long message in the thread "Low Frame Rates - problem resolved on my system" which may go some way to explaining things, based on measurements not guesswork. I try to explain why this problem is real but not being experienced by everyone, and why simple nVidia vs. Radeon, or Intel vs. AMD, arguments, are really noise that's masking the real signal.OK, thanks for your time. You may now continue to shout at each other. :-shy- Pete

Have have the same system specs and have also the bad framrates, at maximum 10 fps...it

Pete,Thanks for your concern, but I wasn't arguing with anyone. And neither was the "other side".Tero
