July 21, 200322 yr I have been unable to get FSNavigator to work in the "Fly Flightplan" mode with the 737NG....Comments anyone?
July 21, 200322 yr Hi there, the PMDG autopilot is custom-programmed to incorporate the maximum amount of realism possible within FS. So, as the real plane can not be flown using FSNavigator, it's not possible to do it with the PMDG 737, either. You'll have to use the proper procedures, as explained in the manual.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
July 21, 200322 yr If you are using the FSNavigator to look up navigation-related data then it is ok. But if you are using it to fly an aircraft then you are really "butchering" whatever realism there is left in this product.Ask real 737 pilots if they ever use FSNavigator in their daily flying ... *:-* :-lolMichael J. July 21, 200322 yr Why do you feel the need to repeat what was been said in the previous response albeit using different words?I visit this forum for information on the aircraft that will help me decide whether or not to drag out my credit card and buy not to read echo after echo after echo after echo ...........Andyb Andy Brockbank
July 21, 200322 yr Huh?Gosta is telling the person who asked that you can't use it since the 737 uses its own AP and Michael J says that it's actually unrealistic to use FSNAV as your AP but that it's OK to use the navigational data you find in the program. Where's the echo echo echo? Are you posting in the right thread?!Personally I use FSNAV together with PMDG 737 this way: I create the FPL in FSBUILD and export it to the native MSFS format as well as PMDG 737-format. I then load the MSFS format in FSNAV and load the internal format into the FMC. I only do it to enhance my spatial awareness really./Krister Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------
July 21, 200322 yr Andyb,Lighten up. Plenty of info on the forum to help you make your decision. I don't see anything wrong with someone repeating a suggestion. I think you have to remember that there are some young folks, as well as some "old" folks like me that may not be totally up to speed on forum searches, etc.George StoddardPS Buy it! You will not regret it!
