August 2, 200322 yr I think it is a good idea.:) If you look across the forums concerning FSMeteo,ActiveSky,FSD and others, there are problems unique to video drivers, video cards, operating systems and the myrid of combinations. Better to get your teams' hard work on the street and let us break it! LOL. This may be one of the toughest times to update and upgrade vis a vis a new FS version and a new airplane at the same time. Thanks.BobP :) Bob Prince
August 2, 200322 yr Great news! Too "bad" I go on holiday starting tomorrow morning. I guess the dust will have settled by the time I get back in a week. I do have something to look forward to.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
August 2, 200322 yr Robert and PMDG,Congratulations on your successful transition to the MSFS community. You have provided a great add-on that will only be better when SP1 (& eventually SP2) is/(are) released. I've been following the news very closely for the last several weeks (since I purchased the 737NG) and have read nearly all the threads. You and the PMDG team are extremely patient, as well as 95% of the folks out here, and have my respect. I truly enjoy the customer orientation your organization provides. Your team is a class act!Sincerely,Ken Fortin
August 2, 200322 yr Robert, GOOD Decision...you'll get buy-in from your users with this move and I think that the remaining issues with the airplane in general and potential ones with FS2004 will now get resolved just this much quicker. Thanks again, and I and many others especially appreciate the daily NOTAMS on where you and the team were at. That straightforward strategy is not as common with developers as some of us would wish and is earning you well deserved plaudits...regards,
August 2, 200322 yr Yeah, you lot fall over each other to say great thanks, you're so wonderfull. But guess what?Several hours after this announcment, the patch still isn't here.Maybe it will be ready by the time Lee comes back from vacation.I'll beleive it's a great, realistic aircraft when I see it.Robert
August 2, 200322 yr Robert's bedtime is something like 6:00 AM his time(trying to get his patch out of the door)....That, gentlemen, is dedication :)
August 2, 200322 yr Hey Fred,Yea, I've figured out that Robert (Randazzo) doesn't sleep more than about ten minutes a day :). I was referring to the Robert that posted above me b**ching about the patch not being out yet. By the way, just curious, when does Mr. Randazzo have time to fly the real planes?George Stoddard
August 2, 200322 yr not moaning about the patch, spent my $40 a while back and have written it off. It may be worth it , it may not, time will tell.Moaning about all the touchy feely stuff that seems to permeate the flight sim forums I read seeking information. It's the only type of purchase I make that feels like that, go figure.RobertNCUSA 10:42 EST bit early for bed
August 2, 200322 yr Muppet Heid,It's really not "touchy feely stuff". Most folks on the forums recognize how difficult it is to develop a complicated, top notch add-on like the PMDG 737. I think we also recognize the tremendous effort and dedication it takes to give the kind of support that PMDG has given throughout the years. I don't know about you, but I know it's good to get a "pat on the back" every now and then. Particularly when youve worked your ars off like the PMDG folks have on this add-on.Probably the reason it's the only purchase you made that feels like that is because this is more than a game to most of us. Speaking for myself, it is my hobby and my passion I'm 50 years old so passion doesn't come easy:) I really do hope you enjoy the 737George Stoddard
August 2, 200322 yr OK, I appologize for the remarks. I have flown the DF 737 since it came out on CD, just itching to get the NG working.I also have FS as my only hobby, can't afford another one, bought 4 planes and some scenery in the past two weeks, I shudder to think the total spending over the past two years, must be 1000s.BTW, I am 44 yo, and I'll go to bed when I feel like it !Robert
August 2, 200322 yr Now, i dont give a **** what anyone says about PMDG, Thats Customer Service if I ever saw it.Well Done PMDG, it has been a pleasure just to use the plane thus far. TO have a patch with most of these problems fixed is fantastic. Can't Wait! and Thanks :)Regards,Sean
August 2, 200322 yr Hey Muppet Heid,44 years old! Well you definately need to go to bed. Us senior citizens need our rest:)George Stoddard
