737 800/900/BBJ questions

Featured Replies

Hi everyoneI just got a couple of questions about the new 737 packs when they come out. Whenever I hear someone talking about a feature that is not implemented in the 737-700 package someone says that it will be implemented when the 737 800 comes out. But what about the BBJ package? What features wont you be doing in the 800/900 package so that you can still make some new ones in the BBJ package? My other question is, once the 800/900 package is released with the IRS system and all the new FMC features, will we be able to still fly the 737 600/700 package with these new features, or will we have to keep the current panel and only use the IRS on the 800/900? Will we have to buy the 800/900 to be able to buy the BBJ? Last of all, will the BBJ have a really REALLY posh virtual cabin? Also let me say how much i LOVE the 737 700 - its absolutely amazing and it flies like a dream... THANKS A BUNCH PMDG!Cheers...

Oh and one other question...Do you know how long it will be until SU2 is released? Soon?

Some of the things planned for in each phase:737 The Next Generation Product Line737-600/700 Base Product includes the main systems...2nd Release 737-800/900 Add-On will add technologies such as TCAS, display variation, cockpit differences, additional models, failures training, enhanced Inertial Navigation capability and more3rd Release BBJ[/b] / Military Variants will include HUDs, extended range tanks and more If you purchase the other packages you will be able to choose from a number of options even for the 600-700. Development has not even begun on the 800-900 yet so at best it will be guesswork about all the details including the price. SU2 has no scheduled release date and you will not get a word other than stay tuned....[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. OK thanks a bunch Randy!

with TCASwill we be able to see AI traffic in FS2004 and also AI traffic if we use VATSIM?

I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram

I'd imagine we would be able to otherwise that would just kill the purpose of having a TCAS at all since they are just about the only two places we can get traffic from!Happy Flying!

Liamdid you get my emai mate?

I believe they want to get all the issues of the current release out of the way before starting the next phase :) That and the fact they've worked their butts off for the good part of a year and might be taking a well deserved break :)

It indeed seems logical to me to first fix all issues and implement all wishes in the current product. Most of this stuff, if not all, will be the foundation for the upcoming products, I guess...Henk-Jan

"Glad you're liking the Qantas repaint Liam ;)'Not the only one, John ;-)Many thanks.Cheers.Ian.P.S. (More than) Slightly off topic, here, but should the Airstairs operate in your repaint (they're ok in the default panel, but...). Have I overlooked some instructions?

Glad you're liking it too Cheif ;)Ahum. Yep, they should. I'm not on my PC right now, so I can't check the aircraft.cfg entry I put in the readme. You just need to edit the aircraft.cfg and the model= for the Qantas repaint. Just place an AS in front of the model= :)
