It will work with AI or Squawkbox traffic, provided the right external tools (e.g., SBRelay and/or AIBridge) are utilized.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Hi,"If i'm not mistaken, simmers have for decades literally searched under every rock to find such a good A/P and you want to exchange it with a fake that would intercept nothing and not to what is is supposed to?"I'm sorry but you have just made that up. I never said I wanted any such thing! This is why it would be, in my opinion, good to have another click spot. However, I agree with you about more functionality.Cheers!Paul

If this is the case and I understood wrongly, my apologies. But believe me, after talking to "reals", i have only heard the best comments about PMDG's A/P, and personally, I believe, if there is a good A/P for MSFS out there, it's theirs. One should never cease to go after quality and authenticity, though, so if your comments are correct, perhaps they should be considered too.Glad to see more people sharing the same opinions on the functionality matter.:)

Hi Randy,It

Well I will say that "Why did it do that"? is something that is heard on NG flight decks ;). The truth is that the autopilot is not flawless (real deal) and does sometimes do things or not do things the way it ought to. I assume one could program a *varible* for such things but how one would find a true ratio is beyond me! The key here is that most would simply take control if the A/P did not preform they way they thought it should and you can only put so much trust or ought to in the FMS...[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. I hope PMDG will help us virtual simmers to experience realistic 737NG autopilot behaviour in the simulator and maybe we too can say "Why did it do that?!" I only think this can improve the immersion and realism factors. Then again how it would be implemented I have no idea!

But it is broken Matthew ;-) The real NG autopilot is not flawless, far from it. You may see the real thinging not following a profile properly, or levelling early etc... these are all realistic and happen in real life, that's why I think they should happen in the sim too! Maybe some simmers aren't ready for this yet; hence a clickspot in the opions would be perfect.I think'll shut up now.Cheers,Paul
