How do you keep youself busy during a flight

Featured Replies

This kind of threads makes one wonder why we do these flights. We fly for 2 hours for 20 minutes of action LOL. Imagine playing a fps game where 80 % of the time you are watching cut scenes.

I prefer a two hour hop. I've just started back into trade school, so I can sit there and do a good hour of homework during the middle of the flight. That way the missus doesn't give me the gears about being on the puter.

I know this is modeled in some Smith Boeing FMS's in the 757-67-777 and 747-400, anyone know if this feature is available on the B737NG's? And could be implemented in PMDG 737?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/67720.jpg

Ya - I think my wife had one of those installed for me. Alerts her when dishes need to be done, garbage needs to be taken out, or she needs someone to express her feelings too.;)

The fun part is when it also sends those reports back by ACARS to head office...Ray

I pretty much sit and watch the flight. I usually only fly 1 to 2 hour routes, so it goes by pretty fast. I mess with the FMC and monitor the flight as if it could fail, or another problem like collisions with other planes (I need TCAS!!!). Other than that, I eat/drink, look at flight maps for possible routes in the future, listen to the scanner, or whatever.Chris
