Nice shots Randy! The overhead panel seems so flat to me. I know there are many clickable spots in there, but aren't there any 3D switches, knobs etc.?A bit off-topic:I'm looking into buying a similar hardware upgrade as you have. I'm now running Asus A7N8X deluxe, XP2600+, 1GB RAM, Ati 9500 Pro. I'm thinking of upgrading to a machine like yours. However, I'd go for the ATI 9800 Pro. Um it's mostly the angle that I have taken that shot. It looks good right under it. MONEY!!! Of course the Nvidia 6800 blows away any ATI at present, we shall seee what ATI have in their corner. I am trading in the NV 5700 for a NV 5900XT, slightly better performer and is faster than a ATI 9600XT! Hell look at my frame rates above, that's kickin more than i ever was, hell I go 1600x1200 MAX and still get 20s! [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. As for your question, there is currently no way to not have the FMC *night version BMP* not match the 2D panel's FMC which happens to be a "pop up" and is that color. I don't usually fly with the VC - probably due to the older system I had and not having thought much about it isnce I upgraded.Having seen the screen shots here I suspect the VC will get a look in when the 800/900 is released.Looks sensational.Andy b

Hi!Judging by the screenshot the 3d-modelled knobs and switches on the overhead-panel are gone in the new 800/900-vc? If so I guess it's made to improve the framerates, kinda sad though as I liked the 3d ones ;( Not a biggie though :-)rgrdsfredrik granfors, ESSG
