October 10, 200421 yr Hi,I belong FS9 and PMDG 736 up to 739. This runs at Win XP with Service Pack2. Either with unpatched and patched FS9 and completely patched PMDG my FS9 crashes to desktop, when TCAS is activated and when TCAS is assigned to FS2004 in the PMDG menue of FS9. At the error sending report of FS9 there you can read, that pmdg_737ng-main.gau causes the crash. If TCAS is assigned in the PMDG menu to FSUIPC (also newest version), FS9 will not crash. What is wrong? October 10, 200421 yr Hmm, sounds like something's corrupted. Use PMDG Removal Tool and remove whole PMDG and reinstall with all latest patches. I would do that...
October 10, 200421 yr Funny, had this fs9-CTD when turning on TCAS a few days ago. What I found out and cured my problem:Deleting/Uninstalling or installing some other add-ons obviously deleted the trafficInfo.dll in the fs9modules folder.I restored it by copying it back from the panel SDK which includes the file. That completely cured my problem!GreetingsHenni
October 10, 200421 yr I had this problem with reality xp jetline 2 gauge after installing the FS9 patch. Then re-installed the gauge and it worked again. (the service module patch alone didn't seem to help)
October 11, 200421 yr Author Hello, thanks for the replays. The trafficinfo.dll is there in the "modules" folder. Before installing FS9.1 patch, I copied all default FS2004 *.dll in the modules folder. Even before the patch and after the patch FS9 crashes to desktop when TCAS is set to FS9. October 17, 200421 yr I seem to have a similar problem. After installing FS9.1., turning on TCAS (in the radio panel) crashes the 737NG (error report: 737main.gau is the cause). FSUIPC (registered) has been upgraded to v3.4.TrafficInfo.dll is there and traffic.dll has been replaced by a newer version by the FS9 9.1. patch (putting back the old version does not help). In the above post, where do you assign TCAS in the PMDG menu? Anyone who can confirm that TCAS still works for them?BTW, TCAS works just fine on the RXP JL2 gauge after the FS9.1 patch. Bert
October 17, 200421 yr I can confirm TCAS is working after FS9.1 patch. At least for me. ;-)Cheers, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
October 17, 200421 yr Just an update... after finding the TCAS setting in the PMDG menu (under styles/various), I changed the setting to FSUIPC based on the original post.. and all works again.Happy I do not have to re-install!! Bert
October 18, 200421 yr TCAS is working fine for me. FYI, in FSUIPC mode, you may not get on-line traffic reported. In my experiences, FS internal mode works best. George Morris
November 12, 200421 yr Okay I just got this error also. Having looked trough the modules folder I can see that I'm missing the trafficinfo.dll file...where can I get this. What I'm wondering about is how it got deleted in the first place, since I haven't installed anything and yesterday it was working fine???
November 12, 200421 yr Okay I got one from Lee's TCAS, what I'm wondering is if this is the latest version? It says 9.00.030612.02.
November 12, 200421 yr >TCAS is working fine for me. FYI, in FSUIPC mode, you may>not get on-line traffic reported. In my experiences, FS>internal mode works best.Same here. Nevertheless, I've FS9.1 + registered FSUIPC and would like to learnmore about interrelationship btw TCAS FSUIPC and FS2004 internal.Furthermore concerning "Set Max Displayed Aicraft to"Is the set number framerate sensitive?Someone here for a briefing about the above Qestions?G
March 9, 200521 yr Only now have I found the root cause of my TCAS crash problem. My copy of Tafficinfo.dll was "no good" and a new copy fixed the problem. You can find a copy in the Avsim library. If you rename your copy, many add-ons will install a new copy for you as well. Bert
