November 9, 200520 yr HiI`m just wondering if there will be more liveries for the 747.Would be nice to see for example Thai Airways or maybe some special paints ( i.e Wunala or ANA Snoopy ) pop up under the livery download section on precisionmanuals.comRegardsPatrik Lundberg, Sweden

When it's released I would think some cargo liveries will be released. Then the MD-11, seems they have plenty on their plate.
November 10, 200520 yr I believe most of what you are looking for can be found at avsim.com. Just do a search in their library.------------------------------------------------------------------Joe F."It's not the fall that kills ya. November 10, 200520 yr It's the professional quality ones from PMDG for which some of us are patiently waiting. Thai (recent and current), in particular, would be nice. Also classic BA and Cathay, and current SAA and Singapore. These would be so nice from the PMDG stable. Can but wait in hope!Thank you.Michael
November 10, 200520 yr It's the professional quality ones from PMDG for which some of us are patiently waiting. You know, quite a few of the good "freeware" painters in this community can at least match the quality of the PMDG liveries, some are extremely talented. :) So don't underestimate the freeware painters. I know SAA was done exceptionally well already by somebody (John Tavendale, I believe), and is up on the library, SAA is up by Terence Pereira... Both liveries are at the very least up to par with PMDG standards. :)Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgMember of SJU Photography. November 11, 200520 yr OMG, this question has been made many times, and never, never ,has been answered by a PMDG member. Is so difficult to say : never, from now in two months, next week , when next service update is released...etc? whatever you say , would be wellcome.Thanks.Miquel Egea
November 11, 200520 yr Wow, talk about hijacking a thread... :-lol Anyways, why ask questions that you know won't be answered satisfactorily? You're causing unnecessary stress for yourself, man.Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgMember of SJU Photography. November 11, 200520 yr Don't ever underestimate the free paints for the aircraft here on AVSIM! I know that the paints from PMDG are more convenient to install as they come in an exe-file, but come on...Hey someone should make the Malaysia Airlines "Heliconia" and "Hibiscus" paints. Those would be nice. Difficult paint jobs, but quite stunning if done well, if you ask me :-)
November 11, 200520 yr >You know, quite a few of the good "freeware" painters in this>community can at least match the quality of the PMDG liveries,>some are extremely talented. True, but some no doubt try hard and do a commendable job - but they are not yet up to the standard of the PMDG professionals. It is time consuming for customers to sort the acceptable from the unacceptable. Some of us want to spend our small amounts of marginal, leisure time actually using FS 2004, not fiddling around with it.It is for all these reasons that I would welcome a couple of the ones I mentioned above from PMDG.I recall Thai, in particular, being mentioned by PMDG pre-release. But it is not that big a deal, the product is already worth more than the price - and I ask in hope rather than demand.Regards.Michael
November 12, 200520 yr As for singapore Airlines, I would recommend Phillip Tan's repaint available on Avsim.Phillip is an excellent repainter and his SIA PMDG repaint doesnt deceive his reputation. On another hand where's John Travendale's SAA ? Seems I missed it, couldnt find his repaint on the avsim library.I am also looking for the Saudi PMDG744 repaint that we had seen during the development stage on the preview screenies.
November 13, 200520 yr True, but some no doubt try hard and do a commendable job - but they are not yet up to the standard of the PMDG professionals. It is time consuming for customers to sort the acceptable from the unacceptable. Some of us want to spend our small amounts of marginal, leisure time actually using FS 2004, not fiddling around with it.Sorry to bring this back up, but I do have to wonder... Look at this paint; how is it inferior, or not up to PMDG standards? The artwork is by Terence Pereira, whom I regard as being one of the best freeware painters.http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Loca...&ImageID=106208Really, I guess in part it's because I'm also a painter, but I seriously think you're underestimating what some of us are capable of. The line between being a freelance painter and being a "PMDG professional" is rather blurry, my friend. John Tavendale did painting for PMDG, now he's freelance (I think). I am sure that he's up to the standard, are you not? :)Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgMember of SJU Photography.
