KBOS nasty weather now

Recommended Posts

744 makes a nice CATIII landing at KBOS during the snow storm. Running w/ ASV6 using RT weather. Is this cool or what???PatAMD A64 4000+ @ 2.6GHz, Zalman7700Cu cooler, Corsair XMS 1GB DDR, LTK6800GT-OC, Asus A8V MoBo, WDRaptor10KrpmHDD, TrackIR4, CH FSYoke + TQ, XP-hsp2

Pat, how is AS6? Are there any control or nav. issues with RT weather? I use a PMDG, LDS etc. Thanks, Joe

I just landed in Boston and the weather has cleared up a bit. Light snow with winds at 15 out of the north east. Visibility was good enough to manually bring her in from 1000 feet. Great fun! Also using AV6 and find it an excellent addition for weather control. I have not found any negative effects of AV6 on the Queen. Bob...

AS6 is great, and I have had no issues from it with pmdg, lds or any other addon. I simply can not fly without it. It makes it a whole lot better flying experience.

I agree, ASV6 works fine w/ 744, LDS, and other complex planes. Aside from the graphical improvements, it provides winds aloft, which is used by FSBuild to calculate fuel load for 744 and LDS. Of course, winds loft shifting (FS9 thing) can cause VNAV to sometimes lose control authority, but it's never been a real issue.PatAMD A64 4000+ @ 2.6GHz, Zalman7700Cu cooler, Corsair XMS 1GB DDR, LTK6800GT-OC, Asus A8V MoBo, WDRaptor10KrpmHDD, TrackIR4, CH FSYoke + TQ, XP-hsp2
