Vintage airliners?
I always wanted PMDG to do a 707. Fast, beautiful with 4 screaming turbojets! I'd love to hear the sound package for that one.

PFPX - My impressions (and frustrations) after a week
The Just Planes video of the Air Canada 777-200LR polar ops dvd has a great segment with the dispatcher. Its about a 1/2 hr long and he goes thru flight planning in detail. One of the best instructional videos I've seen. Obviously he's not using PFPX but the methods are quite similar.

Similarities/differences between flying 777 and 747
Very true Jose I have learned that in PSX also! The FS 747 seems a lot different due to the platform I guess.

Similarities/differences between flying 777 and 747
The 777 is a fantastic plane and PMDG modeled it beautifully. That being said the 747 was always my favorite plane. It was a completely different design than anything before and I've always had a sweet spot for it since I was a kid. Not having the new 747 I can only compare the original but energy management in the 777 seems to require more attention than the 747. If you let it, the 777 will bust constraints very easily due to the power of its engines and the fact that it seems very "slippery" Enjoy the 777!

Great book. Anyone looking to learn the FMC should buy it.

SATCOM
Just watching the 772 Air Canada Polar Flight program will show just how bad HF is to listen to. I actually felt bad for the FO having to repeat and try to translate what was being transmitted. It seems impossible to give position reports.

Complete feature list for the 777?
You won't be sorry you did. If you can find Capt. Randazzo's post about the release of the 777 it will give you a pretty good idea of features. Kyle's vids are also a great view of systems and tips.

Prepar3d v3 new user questions
Just looking for advice. My PC is about 3yrs old it is an Intel Core i5 2.7G with 8mb ram, Win10 64bit and a Intel HD 2500 graphics card. It is an all in one PC so no way to upgrade graphics card. I run latest version of X-Plane no problem. I'm looking to get P3D V3. Will it run on here? I'm not wasting time or money if I can't. Thanks in advance.

PMDG 777 difficulty
There is a guy on youtube Matt Davies who flies long hauls in the T7 and he goes through the pre-flight and all the way to descent planning and landing. He's pretty good and even though I've been flying the 777 its good to see how someone else sets up a flight. If you have the Big Boeing FMC Guide that's always good reading during the cruise.

Doesn't the 200LR now share the 115B with the 300ER?

XPlane Development Status Thread [Updated 12SEP14]
I've been waiting to get a T7 for X-Plane hoping PMDG would release one for xplane. No developer has been able to get this plane right. Close but not quite right. When I had FSX I had the 744, MD-11 and they were the best a/c (with the Level-D) for FSX. I haven't had a 777 since the PSS version for FS9!

Pilots in the Basement?
I agree with you completely. My comment was actually to the conspiracy theories as to why the pilot had a sim. I agree its a helpful tool and if it helps them fly better I'm all for it. I don't see any problem with a pilot using the sim at all. I guess I underestimated pilots enjoying flying GA planes. I can see the decreased workload for takeoff and approach/landing must be a welcome break.

Pilots in the Basement?
It was surprisingly well written. I expected the usual calls for a ban on flight simulation programs. Truthfully what could a flight sim teach a T7 captain with 18,000 hours that he doesn't already know? Unfamiliar airports maybe but it can't duplicate the forces on the control surfaces etc. Some pilots I'm sure use flight simulators after they retire as a hobby because they'll never get to fly those a/c again. I'm sure its kind of a letdown when a captain of a heavy jet has to settle for flying small GA planes!
