August 27, 200619 yr Hi, What does the message : RWY/APP CRS ERROR mean on approach and how can I get rid of it ? Martin Bunjes
August 27, 200619 yr I believe you get this message when the FMC database runway's coordinates doesnt match the tuned and active ILS.
August 27, 200619 yr You can get rid of it by changing your course setting to match the course displayed on the attitude display top left. These courses are often off by a degree or two from current charts, which is due to the obsolete magnetic variation within FS9. Just set the course to appease the FMC, it makes no difference on a localizer since it only has one "course" or beam (not counting backcourse if it is useable). Dan Downs KCRP
August 27, 200619 yr Author Thanks for the explanations. Thing is, I was on a non precision approach just using LNAV and VNAV and I was indeed way off course on finals. I got the aforementioned FMC message and was barely able to bring her down in one piece. Martin Bunjes
August 27, 200619 yr It means that the selected ILS course does not match course for the destination runway in the active route.Randy J. Smith Randy J Smith
