February 4, 200719 yr >That's right, they don't. They are gradually removing the>numbers from the entire fleet..>>http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1167211/L/Well they hadn't got around yet to the aircraft I posted yet. Jay Vorkapic
February 4, 200719 yr No need to apologise, mate. Family is first and foremost above all else, so concentrate on that and get back to the repaints whenever you are able to - no rush. Hope things get better for you and your family.Regards, Matthew Bellette
February 4, 200719 yr There are over 50 B737-700/800 aircraft in the VB inventory, so they can't all be taken to the hangar for a repaint at the same time or else we'd all be stranded at the airport, lol. From what I have seen, brand new aircraft built and painted in the Boeing factory in the USA are being delivered here without the phone numbers and aircraft already in service here that have the phone numbers are gradually being altered to have the phone numbers removed. My understanding is that VB wants travellers to use the internet to make flight bookings instead of calling the phone centres because it costs VB less that way. As with all airlines (and any company, really) every single cent that can be saved will be saved for profit otherwise they will go he way of Ansett and numerous other failed airlines.Regards, Matthew Bellette
February 5, 200719 yr Simon,Some BA World Tails would be a wonderfull addition to the hangar, after all 'The Worlds Favourite Airline' (sic) is the largest operator of the 'Queen'. Not forgeting the odd British Asia Airways livery (G-CIVA)!! The current batch of BA renditions available include only one 'dirty' BA 744 (G-CIVX), saw several parked at EGLL T4 the other day & they would be really wonderful stable mates.Steve B Steve Bell "Wise men talk because they have something to say.
