March 24, 200323 yr Commercial Member Dear Wade, (and ELP if available)I want to interface the 767 panel - which is really cool - with my 1992 Plymouth Voyager.Could you help me with this?I know that the 767PIC is a three year old computer program designed as an add-on for FS2K, and that it still works excellently with FS2K2, and probably FS2K4, (thanks for the free updates) and that trying to fit it into my 11 year old Voyager may be difficiult, BUT, I really think it would help its performance. Also, the paint is peeling - do you have a fix for this?THIS WAS POSTED IN JEST. March 24, 200323 yr Okay Daryl here's the Deal:The Flight Deck Solutions 767 Panel Kit sounds ideal for this project.1. Park Plymouth Voyager in Garage Forever.2. Build Exhaust Fume extraction System into Garage.3. Build electrical system into Voyager, that can power a PC.4. Replace Steering Wheel with Yoke.5. Replace Brake/Clutch/Accelerator Pedals with Rudder Pedals.6. Replace rear seats with Bed for Long Hauls, Microwave for Inflight Meals, and a Fridge for keeping the beers cold.7. Install Projector System Into Roof for External view.8. Remove Dash and replace with multiple monitors for the panel and a replica glareshield.9. Remove Parking Brake and Gear Shift area between the pax and driver seat - Replace with Throttle, Flaps and speed brake unit.10. Add an FMC unit.11. Make Units for the Radios etc.12. Build a monitor into the roof above the Windscreen for the overhead panel.13. Purchase a Pilot's Hat, Wings and Gold Bars.Hope this helps with the conversion process.Let us know the results and be sure to post some pics of the finished article.edited to include: WILL ONLY WORK IF THE VOYAGER'S ENGINE IS RUNNING TO POWER THE PC although you could get round this and magically programme the voyagers' engine to start up when the APU is started in the sim.MarkTHIS WAS POSTED IN JEST.
March 24, 200323 yr Author Commercial Member Maybe I wasn't CLEAR... I still want to DRIVE my Voyager, just with the PIC panel instead of the factory one. Is that so difficult?http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpgDS CVA3339 & UKD149 The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
March 24, 200323 yr DS,You sir are the king! :-)Let me know how you make out because I would like to try this conversion on a 1985 Hyundai Pony GLS that I have lying around here somewhere.
March 24, 200323 yr Speaking of Pony - I still got no horses but one of my dogs is almost too big to handle.I was thinking of merging the Panel with his dog.cfg file.I can program the FMC to make him take the evening walk without me. I can also find good use to the Paw dampers, though the I need 4 of them and the PIC panel only supports two.Anyway gotta go, my dog's freeware EICAS addon just showed an "I want out now!" advisory.Ilan Jonas(Unlike other posts, I am completely serious here. I think.)
March 24, 200323 yr At the very least, TCAS could be very useful in your Voyager to avoid all those out to get you!Lee Hetherington (KBED)http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg
March 24, 200323 yr Okay how's this:1. DMC(D=Driver) - Similar to FMC but for programming route from home to office to Wal-Mart etc.2. EIDAS display replacing car instruments. 3. ADI with DD - Similar to ADI with FD, but stands for Automated Driver Interface with Driver Director that receives steering cues from AutoDrive System and DMC(D=Driver).4. AutoDrive System, similar to Autopilot allows for heading and speed changes.5. TAPAS - Traffic and Police Avoidance System.Hope this helps for a starting basis.I believe the team could easily adapt the gauges for your new purpose.Mark
