Hey Randy,i got it, i love it... only hope some things *might* be added in future(again, i know, like the ENG OUT and LRC options)For the FCTM, i've got the NG CBT but am not sure wether the FCTM is the same as my CBT is slightly more than 2 megs... ;)So if you would be so kind to provide me with another resource, [email protected] is the adressAnd, really, the VNAV issue that they are screaming about: havent had it....(yet). have done about 8 flights now, of which 4 were complete IFR flights(the others: joyflights) and i must say it all went smooth...You guys did a great job on it. It's now parked at Gate 209 in EBBR waiting for it's next flight tomorrow, probably a longer one to Athens or Rome, perhaps even to Gran Canaria ;), oh yeh, i'm gonna hop her cross the pond when i find the time.Perhaps in a while we'll get PIC on VATSIM to be accompanied by a slash of NG's, though that WOULD mean the 767 would be using a low CI to accomodate our NG's speeds, which are rather low ;)Greets

Randy,I downloaded the B737NG last night and flew a bit this morning...impressive comes to mind. Flies beautifully! Cannot wait for the liveries, fixes and the -800 and -900. If its not to much of a pain send me the Ops Manual you have and the SIDS and STARS. I have DSL so I don't care how big the files are. Thanks again, its well worth the [email protected] Ascaso, R.N.

Tony, check you mail ;) Lenny, the flight crew training manuals for the 737NG I have are varied, some from Boeing, others from airlines like Virgin. There are MANY 737 NG PDF manuals, just knowing what exactly you need is the question. The cbts are always awesome, there is a SWA one that's pretty neat and mostly up to date with FMC 10.XXX whereas the standard Boeing CBT FMC module is out dated a bit. Keep that in mind when checking out the 737, it's modeled after the newest FMC, so many might be saying huh? [h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smith[/h5][h6]The Next Great one? Hi Randy,I'd appreciate the 737 manual also....I know your under alot of stress in answering these emails but if you can find the time, please send the manual to the following email address:[email protected] and regards, jack noullet

Tony,Yeah, the FDE is out-f***ing-standing !There are issues, but they are being taken care of. This baby is already a winner! After the corrections I know there'll be a lot of even more smiling faces :)Tero

I second that, the FDE is excellent!, the gauges too, I'm using the landing view with the PFD on top, a real joy to make manual approach and landings. Once some items be "fixed" the 737NG will be my clear airline aircraft choice in FS2004. (until I see the new WELP project ;))I have the Boeing 737NG CBT, if you don't mind you can send me the FCTM to [email protected]!

Charly Diaz Azcue[br /] BAW062 [br /] HC270CH Q8
[/p][/p]
Hi Randy,Thanks for your good review. I'll eventually buy the 737NG when i get some email support from PMDG first (having transaction problems). In the meantime, could you possibly send the FCTM this way? :-) I know I dont post often but I've been watching this forum everyday since PIC was released. Many Thanks,Eoin [email protected]

Hi Randy,Although most of the 737NG's AP and FMC seem similair to PIC I would love to have a copy of the manuals you're talking about. If you would be so kind to send me a copy to [email protected] I would be very gratefull. With regards, Lennart

Hi Randy,So far my experience with the 737 has been very positive!!As a 1st Day PIC Purchaser and "frequent flyer" of the wonderful 767, AND now a 1st day purchaser of the 737NG ... I think that the 737 is a great addition to my collection.I feel VERY badly when reading some of the posts, because I have not experienced issues such as frame rate problems, etc ... Every aircraft that has been published goes through an incredible "teething" process ... if I recall, PIC 767 did, although there were not a lot of issues, the PSSA320 was slammed, DF 737 was slammed, etc etc .. and the PIC A320 really never got off the ground. This is really a difficult business reminiscent of what one might have experienced in the colliseum in Rome in 60BC .. 8-)=O well, instead of thinking of the 737NG as a successor, I think if it as a worthy COMPANION!!!I, also, would really appreciate a copy of the manual you have. I have AOMS for the -400 and 3/500, any anything you could provide for the "NG" series would be really great!!! [email protected] Flying and

thanks again randy,Perhaps sometime soon: PMDG on VATSIM ;) i'm innGreetz

Initially, I was annoyed with the low FPS, but after changing some memory management settings I get a framerate just about the same as PIC's, the visual model does go down to about 5, but it's just so detailed and gorgeous it's no wonder. Systems are pretty good, FMC is passable, A/P, especially flight idle descents and APP modes are simply superb! The best thing of all IMHO is the excellent EFIS screens, if we can get this in every addon it would be simply fantastic.

"FMC is passable"??Does this mean it has more functionality than the PIC767 FMC?? Does not sound like it.Still trying to find something to justify the $65+ CDN to get this one in the hangar...the jury is still out after reading through the PMDG forum.

>Does this mean it has more functionality than the PIC767 FMC??> Does not sound like it.No, it doesn't at this point. When the 800/900 comes out, it will be upgraded and be even more functional than PIC.

Ok, all requests sent. I must admit it's a bit difficult dealing with problems coming in from every direction. I am a FMC man, it's what I am very good at. Many so called FMC issues deal with the fact that we have a FMC modeled after the newest FMC update on the NG series and without manuals how would one know to hit page 2 on the rte pg to enter the airways? I will say it again here, you cannot go by Dream Fleet's FMC or PIC's FMC as a *complete* and identical reference with the NG. They are differnt. We use differnt formats for Lat Long inputs etc. If you wish to have waypoints show up correctly on the ND, you MUST use the newest PIC 767 AIRAC cycle. They must be placed in the correct folder, the exe file from Navdata will do this for you. If you guys want some sids and stars for the big hubs please email me, while not 100% sure every single one is correct, the ones I have used are. We have a converter that will convert ALL pic sids stars that will be releaed ASAP. There seems to be some issues that we are very aware of and the team are on as we speak. Personaly I do not have some of the issues that are reported, it takes time for us to get correct information to replicate etc, so please bear with us here.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J.
