Hi OBK,First, please do not let anything I am saying put you off

I guess it's just something that varies from PC to PC, and if it doesn't do it for yours, then I'm afraid there's nothing I can do :S Unless I come over there and sort it out, where do you live? (joking!).I have tweaked it almost to perfection for my sound card, my sound system, my size room, the air density in my room (hmm), and the positioning of my speakers.Another update will follow soon that I have made to level out air cond a bit but the 757 pilot was (without being big headed) amazed at the sound renditions I did for both 767/757. I've even recorded the takeoff from my sounds, played them back and then listened to countless DVD's, they match almost perfectly. You must remember though, and I keep saying, I do not have access to the coding yet you keep bringin up the fact that when you turn the packs off/on the sounds don't correspond! The PIC recirculation fans...forgot about them from day 1, they are way too quiet to even think about compensating for, and you can't even tell the difference in a real flight deck...IMHO.One last thing.....FS2002 sound dependent factors:-Engine N1-Speed (for ground roll and wind, that's it)Real world sound dependent factors:-Speed-Thrust-Drag-Configuration-Intake momentum drag-Weight-Temperature-Aircraft (one 767-300 sounds slightly different to the next).-Runway surface-Runway contamination-Tire wear-Engine fatigueYou see where I am coming from? I only have N1 parameters to play with...It IS impossible to recreate it perfectly, end of story but I am trying my best. Blunt comments....I don't like.ACA you have been an asset to the so-far progress of this package (though you can't compare GE to PW) but there's only so much I can do to make it better and there comes a point. I am trying to make it as close to perfect as possible for everyone, but everyone's setup is different.I'll leave it to eveyone's discretion as to whether you download updates.Cheers[br]obklogo.gif[/img]

Hi OBKHave you tried ESounds by Pete Dowson? I looked into it yesterday after iinstalling your sound package. It looks like there are a multitude of events and even multiple condition triggers if you use that little module. Would be interesting to fiddle around with it, but I'm all busy installing FS2004! :-hahCheers,

Mats,Going a bit off topic here, but do you think the price for the "official" Swedish version of FS2004 will be the same as the "imported", at around 650 SEK? If I can save a couple of hundred (Swedish) bucks, I'll wait a few weeks, but if the price will be the same I might as well go ahead and order it now...Martin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing

I heard someone pre-ordered it from PC Aviator for 520 SEK including shipping. Probably due to a good exchange rate to the USD. So if you think it's worth 130 pix you could wait! Back to FS2004 :DHepp,

Is FS2004 legally out anywhere yet? I thought the US release is one week from today. I wouldn't think they would release outside the US first.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

That's what one would think! They're selling legal FS2004 copies in sweden as we speak...Tero

Hi EricI by no means want to dampen your efforts because anything extra for the PIC is most welcomed. I am not as elloquent as most, and as many can attest I an most of the time tactless in text. please forgive in advance. The repeating flaps...I haven't experienced this problem, though I know some people have and I'm fixing it.Excellent! The Engine sounds cut out is you are between N1 60% and N1 65%This sounds odd, they shouldn't be "cutting off" as you describe, unless you are ramming your thrust levers up and down continously, the sounds should transition smoothley, this is what took most of the time creating.I removed the AC/elect sounds 7675_a, and 7675_b ,and flew with out. This is where the problem was noticed. The sound of the wonderful 767_1 and the next in the progression is 7675_2 i believe. unless the removed sounds are part of the transition? There is a dead zone at N1 60%. The dead zone is between them and no, I dont "ram" throttles. If you want the information take it. It is happening, and I am not kidding you. A/C is "un-realistic" on levels....The airconditioning isn't perfect...but I don't know what you mean "on levels"....On levels I mean the level the uv meter is showing on the sound bite. I am not able to adjust the Aircon or electric sounds in the FS sliders so as may others have noted, the AC/elect is overpowering. The packs and electrics don't shut dn. Had you participated in the post by means of reading it first, you would know why... This sometimes annoys me when people can't be bothered to commit themselves to READ a post before they actually engage themselves init.I did read the entire post before I posted the last. No need to assume I did not. I was just echoing what others had said as well. This was my first post regarding the sound addon. Keep tweeking the waves and make the overlaps smooth and will try again. For now i am back to what I had.You make it sound so simple, and I wish it was, but you might be using your original for a long time to come as it doesn't get much closer to flightdeck reality than this I'm afraid. I guess you like sitting back in the cabin though :)Not to sound repetitave here but, It is far from reality. Your 757 friend must be very kind to "tell" you what he did. As far as the package is, I stand on what I've observed. Sorry you don't like my comments. I am only trying to help.

Hi OBK,This is a great addition to the PIC panel, I just love it!! I like the engine spool up sound, it sounds spot on (I watched the Leisure 767 video and it sounds extremely similar!!!1 comment thugh: I have the same issue as ACA (panning that is), but funny enough, I've had it both on the left side first on 1 flight, then on next one, it was on the right side!!! Go figure!!!I have to try again shutting everything down, then reselect the plane again, but cheers for this update, this is great, keep up with the good work!!!Regards,Francois

Who's Eric?Though Bill, I must tell myself you are hearing something totally different to what I am hearing with regards to the sounds. I've had a few pilots email me now with well above average comments, out of the blue. Maybe they are very very very kind, but I plea them to tell me if anything is wrong, and they did say the packs were rather loud and I have adjusted accordingly, an updated is on its way onto the server now.The dead zone you mention...buy a few 767 dvd's, go in a sim or something and you'll here it for real. Thanks though for the comments though I find it hard to beleive you are "only trying to help". In your previous post, the fact that you didn't approve of the sound package, and that you gave it a rating out of 10 (what's all that about), made it come across as a little arrogant rather then help. Help usually comes in the form of a friendly nature, not blunt comments (my intial response infact was "you can forget about it matey", but then that would be unfair to the more appreciative users). However, your second post was an improvement on that behalf...I'll give it 4/10.Cheers[br]obklogo.gif[/img]

Thanks for the reaction.

Most stores seem to have it priced around 650 SEK - some have a lower price but with so expensive shipping that it will still be more expensive...Interestingly, Siba still charges 664 SEK for FS2002!Can you tell if any addons work in FS2004 "out of the box"? And then, obviously, I'm talking about "advanced" addons, like the PMDG 737. I might hold off buying FS2004 until I can use it to fly some "real" planes. :-)Martin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing

This obviously comes down to personal preference, butcoming from someone who has spent many hours on theflight decks of both 757s and 767s I feel they areabout as good as anything yet. The Boeings are verynoisy up front from wind noise and at altitude theengine noise is barely perceptible, if at all.nickbanner.gif
