It is 767 and 757 specific, a sound config for each. You can find ZIP and RAR versions at:http://homepage.ntlworld.com/obk/7675SoundOBK.ziphttp://homepage.ntlworld.com/obk/7675SoundOBK.rarPlease read enclosed ReadMe.txt for vital instructions on setup and install.A great big thanks to:TeropaMuppet22Eric FisherEGTand all those mentioned in the read me too!Enjoy :)Cheers[br]obklogo.gif[/img]

obk, that's great news! Thanks very much for your hard work.Cheers.Jamie Blethyn, UK

OBKJust want to say a big thankyou for these sounds. They are nothing less than fantastic:-) I've recommended this sound package to all the 757/767 pilots over at my Virtual Airline, British Airways Virtual. I was speaking to a couple of guys on our company frequency lastnight, and we did nothing else but talk about and praise your hard work.;-)One thing I noticed though apart from the small issue when panning around the cockpit views was when I either selected flaps 1 from 0 or from 1 to 0, I get 5 flap lever click sounds instead of just the expected one click.Once you select flaps 5 or more, then you just get the one click. I am using the PIC/POSKY merge file created by Lee Hetherington and the only thing I changed in the aircraft.cfg file has been the rudder effectiveness value so I can use the rudder when the yaw dampers are engaged. Also, I noticed that when you shut down the engines, the Air Conditioning sound gets louder instead of quieter - Is this normal ?Apart from these two small issues though, Im absolutely amazed by what you've produced - Its certainly raised the bar yet again :-) Looking forward to any updates that you release in the future to make these sounds even better. Thanks again for producing these OBK:-) Best regards,Lee Holland.BAW446 - Captain (British Airways Virtual)

Aside from the flaps clicking off too many times, I love it!! The wind sound is amazing - this is probably the most well done simulation of that effect I've heard. It drowns out the engine noise exactly like it should etc.Ryan

Hi obk. Thanks for all your hard work!Unfortunately, I cannot open the main zip file, as WinZip complainswith the message below:"Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive".I've downloaded several times to ensure I wasn't getting a bad download, but same problem every time. :-((. I have no such difficulty with the update file, so am assuming my WinZip is okay?I would appreciate any help you have to offer, as I am "real anxious" to get my hands on those sounds! Many thanks,Frank

Greetings,I had the same issue with the zip. Grab the RAR if you don't want to wait for it to be fixed, I beleive it's the same sounds, just a different .zip program.Take care!P

"Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive".Same here. The zip is corrupted or something.

Me too.The fact that the .zip file is less than half the size of the .rar file seems to indicate a problem, especially considering that we were told the .rar file should be smaller due to better compression.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Hi All,Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone in my pain! :-).If you need a zip program to work with rar files, you can get an evaluation copy of WinRAR here(also works with zip files):http://www.rarlab.com/download.htmThis program did manage to partially open the zip file that's causing us problems, before generating an "unexpected end of archive" message. From a partial comparison between the two archives, it appears they do contain the same files.Best wishes,Frank

Ach!Sorry everyone, I've just got time to give you an update.THe ZIP didn't fully upload, and without my attention! Anyway, it's uploading slowly now on my 56K snail band modem...36 minutes to go!I've also just updated the sounds again, this is my final update for today (at least! I wanted to get by a month without altering anything but I just couldn't!). So, to downloading the latest update (which has new WAV's init) get them from:http://homepage.ntlworld.com/obk/7675OBKUpdate.rarhttp://homepage.ntlworld.com/obk/7675OBKUpdate.zipAnd like I said, the base package ZIP version should be ready soon.Cheers[br]obklogo.gif[/img]

Hi,So, do I need the update or not? Downloading at 1615Z / 12:15pm local EDTThanks,Rob.

If when you have downloaded the base package it says in the readme "BASE VERSION 1.1" then no, otherwise yes.ThanksCheers[br]obklogo.gif[/img]

Thanks for the work. I will give it a try tonight.

One thing that amazes me, is that the engines are so quite. I have never flown a 767 in reality, but I was wandering they might be a little too quite.....(are they still running ;-) )But thanks again for producing this add on, i'll make a reference to it on my web site.Best Regards,Nicowww.nicokaan.nl
