Can it the PIC 767 be used in FS2004?

Featured Replies

I can't believe the energy you are putting into making something work in FS2004 that wasn't meant for it.Why not wait for the real FS2004 compatible PIC ?Tero

Well it was shown awhile ago that the A/P is NOT working right. Just the fact that one has to *tweak* more than just the graphics to have it working is a clear sign to those who know how this bird should fly. Even Wade said the same thing. Now of course there are those who no matter what will do it, it's not a crime but at least let's have a true picture of how it works which is all bad.....Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. The merge itself is in the Avsim library. Just to add the A/P functions ok i haven't noticed any problems after several flights it just seems the panel can't display the gauges in the same window.RegardsG-MIDY :-scatter

A beta of PIC v2. Regards,Alexander Martin.-----------------------------------Previous Flightshttp://www.oasismarigot.com/GIF/britannia-logo.gifBAL341A Friday 27th August: EGKK-LGZABAL341B Friday 3rd September: LGZA-EGKK

Who is Ian Sealey ? Can anyone confirm this ? Who else has got more information ?Alex

Yeah!! Wouldn't that be great!! Someone passing around an unauthorized illegal beta copy of PIC v2!! Wonderful! What a fantastic way to p#ss off the development team!Anyone recall the fun when the FS2002 patch was leaked?Great work! No sense waiting for the full release to start pirating the software.

To answer to first question in this thread, Yes you can if you use an undocked window un-supported fix. No it will never fly on FS2004 with a patch from Wilco Publishing. There are no plans to do one. There is talk of PIC767v2 coming out for FS2004, but we have yet to have any announcement for it yet.

Mike,I don't see the relationship between someone saying someone has a beta of V2 to outright pirating the software. If anything, considering the developer's steadfast refusal to keep the PIC devotees the least bit informed, I find the word that there is a V2 BETA simply refreshing. In fact, I'm downright encouraged by the word that there is a beta to begin with. Kind of what's been alluded to here before. Hopefully, the beta developement is proceeding well and will go gold soon. One point to consider is that the word of a beta would be absolutely NO BIG DEAL if the developers would at least keep the devoted PICers just a little bit informed. Nowadays, even the smallest developement houses/groups are announcing their products and building consumer awareness early. This creates a sense of anticipation and desire among those interested. If anyone is even interested in PIC V2, they usually find there way here. . .where the PIC devotees are hangin. So, it only makes sense to at least try and keep us informed in some "official," way. At least that way the developers can control the rumors and misinformation, while keeping their most devoted customers and fans happy. So, does this unnofficial "announcement," of a beta mean we're all going to run out and make pirated copies? No. Should the developers be worried? No. Should the devoted PIC fan be excited to hear that a beta is being tested? ABSOLUTELY!HAWKMAN

Hiya HAWKMAN,I think everyone is looking forward to the release of PIC v2. However, if someone has an unlicensed, unauthorized piece of commercial software (beta or not) and is distributing it then this is software piracy, plain and simple. If there is a beta version of PIC v2 then I should imagine it would only be members of the beta team that would be authorized to posses it. I would further assume that these people would be instructed not to talk about or distribute the software. As I said in the post above the fact that there has been no release date / previews / features lists / etc / in my opinion simply means that the development team is not yet ready to release this information. They do not owe us previews and information simply because we want it. I would guess that they will release previews, feature sets and release dates when these things have been finalized for the end product. After all, they want to sell the product so I doubt they would withhold information without cause.I don

I don't want to get anybody in trouble or anything, but I only heard through some of my colleagues that this person had a beta and it really annoys me when I hear people giving the Fs community a bad name.Regards,Alexander Martin.-----------------------------------Previous Flightshttp://www.oasismarigot.com/GIF/britannia-logo.gifBAL341A Friday 27th August: EGKK-LGZABAL341B Friday 3rd September: LGZA-EGKK
