Looking for small monitors for use in a glas cockpit design

Featured Replies

Hi all...with glass cockpits all the rage... can someone point me to some good small monitors to use. I think I am going with project magenta for instrumentation... but would like nice monitor(s) to go with it.I'm thinking in the 7 - 9" diagonal range. All the best,SMS

I had the same problem with my T-38C sim. The T-38C has a 9-10 in vertically mounter MFD in front of the pilots legs. There is also a 6" EEID on the right.I spent a year looked through eBay and other sites for small monitors. Other than specialty (read expensive) monitors I had little luck. I finally found a 10" monitor that would work on eBay. For the EEID, I am using a 14" monitor with most of it hidden. There are Car DVD systems out there. One of them might work if you can get your GPU to output to a TV signal. However, the quality of the picture would suck.John

I will sell you a slightly used 7" LILLIPUT 61GL-70NP/C color LCD monitor with VGA connector for $140 plus shipping. If you are interested I will take some pics of it later today when my wife gets home with the camera.

found a 9" mono CRT on Ebay for 20 dollars ,which included shipping.it's like those monitors you see on cash registers.I don't mind the fact that it's not in color. I use it to display a flightdecksoftware PFD.
