November 18, 200619 yr I am looking to buy three LCD monitors for the outside view. They will be connected to a TripleHead 2 Go.Anyone have experience with monitors and if so, which do you recommend? I am looking in the 19 & 20 inch size.John JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer. My last was a T-6 IIAMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D@ 5.1 GHz, 32 GB DDR5 RAM - 3 M2 Drives. 1 TB Boot, 2 TB Sim drive, 2 TB Add-on Drive, 6TB Backup data hard driveRTX 3080 10GB VRAM, Meta Quest 3 VR Headset
November 18, 200619 yr No specific recommendations, but remember the TH2GO is restricted to 3x1280x1024 so no point in going to anything better than 1280x1024 on the 20 inch monitors.I wish Matrox was pushing this product harder : more sales might encourage them to put more development into the product, including for instance support for DVI, support for greater resolutions with widescreen monitors (which seem to be fast becoming the norm) etc.Good luck, and post a couple of pix once you have the device installed.--Bryn

November 19, 200619 yr >>They support widescreen resolutions now, check their site. New>driver. Thanks, I was aware of the new driver. The best widescreen mode supported is only 3840 x 768 (triple 1280 x 768). Not very impressive numbers, but I'm sure if I had one on my desk I would be willing to overlook the 768 vertical pixel limit :)For the original poster, it is worth checking the TH2GO forums at matrox.com. There are lots of posts about successes and problems (and plenty from the flightsim community!) and discussions on monitor choices.--Bryn
November 20, 200619 yr Author Thank you Bryn. I will go to the site.John JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer. November 20, 200619 yr Hi,I'm using a TH2Go with 3 viewsonic vx912 19" tfts - no problems with these but I dont think there would be a specifc monitor to recomend, it probably works with most.Only issue I have found is going back from dvi to analogue connections text doesnt always seem so sharp but its only a minor complaint. 3 tfts through the th2go is great, especially with a trackir. Its a good compromise before going for a full cockpit...CheersMike
November 24, 200619 yr I've been using three Dell 20" (2001FP or something like that), which I like because:1) Fast response time2) Easy to adjust ergonomic positions (up, down, sideways rotate, tilt)3) USB connections available on the side of the monitor. I don't use them currently but have before4) Good price from Dell Outlet
November 25, 200619 yr Just found this site:http://mysite.verizon.net/antonioe/id6.htmlwith close up pictures of three LCD monitors with outer casings removed giving a very narrow gap between the screens when used with the TH2GO.Also some interesting notes and pictures about the use of touch screens.--Bryn
November 27, 200619 yr i want to get another dell 24"to have the first officer side as well, will i be able to do this instead of getting the TH2GO? I could use my other analogue socket in the video card to power up the other monitor, also the other problem in outside view when i am using the horizontal span in the nvidia control panel is that my plane is alway in the centre of the monitor with a 2 monitor set up, any way to change this ? I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
November 27, 200619 yr Perhaps only on FSX, as you can chose there between pilot-copilot seatsRegards
