August 17, 200421 yr Hi Robert,OK I see now. That was my fault. I see how it is named at the top. That is something new we just added. What you are looking for is AS2004.ini. It is located in your Active Sky 2004 folder and can be opened with any text editor such as Notepad or Wordpad. Please keep in mind that there is no one "correct" set of settings. What one user can use is not always the same as another. Of course, some general things can be compared. After you take a look if you have questions please post them!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
August 17, 200421 yr Hello Jim or Damian,I, too, am doing a new reinstall of Active Sky, and am wondering about the install sequence. I was an original wxRE customer, so instead of as2004 main file I have HIFI-AS2004_wxre_verification_on_install. Would the correct installation procedure be: uninstall ActiveSky as-wxre (no updates required) HIFI-AS2004_verification_on_install AS20045-b140Thanks,Keith
August 17, 200421 yr Hi Keith,You have it correct!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
August 17, 200421 yr Thank you very much Damian and Jim!I've unchecked "disable ground updates" and winds and clouds are now set properly after the first download. thanks for this hint.ad 1): do you mean "supression ceiling in ft" not set below 10.000ft? i've changed supression ceiling from standard 4000 to 45000 and also unchecked the new "depict FS9 haze layer"...this seemed to help.ad fogged-in:It happend twice, one flight from LOWW to EDDM (over LOWL) and one flight from EDDF to LSZH (dont remember anymore the station).I did a quick flight today (again LOWW/EDDM) with the above changes and everything looked fine! cheers!harald
August 17, 200421 yr Hi Harold,Leave the haze layer Off, but please go back to 4000 for supression ceiling. If not, then you are not going to get weather updates unless you are above 45000ft.Edit: Thanks for letting us know of your progress!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
