August 22, 200421 yr Hello,I have the new set installed, and it is great. I have been abble to have wonderfull flight, with the weather.Nevertheless, after 5 flights, I have been experiencing an fs9 crash that i am not sure related to AS2004.5, but may be interesting for you to know. After flying four or five legs, the crash reason was Weather.dll.Question, is that DLL used by AS2004.5?Other wise, wonderfull prog.Cpt Cyrille de LattreAsus P4P800/P4 2.4 giga/1.5 giga DDR/Ati 9700 pro 128 meg
August 23, 200421 yr Commercial Member *Edited for B140 availability. B140 (from B139) fixes a possible FSUIPC accreditation problem and enhances TAF processing of FM elements.Hi everyone! The internal beta team has really worked hard to get the latest build ready for public testing. Pete Dowson has also worked some wonders and has provided FSUIPC 3.317 test, which appears to have solved any and all wind flicker issues some folks have had with Direct Wind Control and/or FSUIPC wind smoothing. Thanks to all who have helped so much over the past few weeks!!!Also, based on feedback received from the internal testing team, public beta participants, and all AS2004 users in general, we have made some significant enhancements since B132.Note that the name has also changed from AS2004 MR2 v1.2 to simply AS2004.5.Please see the below revisions history log for detailed information. Here is the download: http://www.hifisim.com/AS20045-b140.zip. You must have AS2004 (any version) installed before running this beta update. This is a BETA and is not an official release. Please use at your own risk. Any and all feedback concerning the FSUIPC 3.317 test should be kept here in this forum, as it is not currently supported by Pete Dowson.Remember, the included test FSUIPC version is REQUIRED, and if you are on WideFS, you must use WideFS full 6.3 with the Wideclient.exe application test 6.232 (included). Please post any questions, feedback or problem reports here on this thread.Enjoy, and thank you for your participation!!!ActiveSky2004 Revision Log------Update 2004.5 Beta Version (Build 140) Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
August 23, 200421 yr OK I saw that the version was wrong. I deleted the post after that. Right mouse click on the FSUIPC.dll in the AS2004 folder and choose copy. Browse to the main modules folder. Paste and answer yes when it asks you to over-write the file.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
August 23, 200421 yr Hi,FS uses that file. Not sure why it is crashing.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

August 23, 200421 yr Hi,Local suppression Range works correctly now when we are on the ground. Thank you. Just a little problem now to load the nearest stations automatically while the first load, but that's globaly correct.I just wonder now what happens if I don't travel far away from my airport. It seems that local suppression range prevent from updating any atmospheric parameter in this area. But don't you think that the only thing we shoudn't update is clouds (only visible thing). So I suggest to don't update only clouds in local suppression range and let update smoothly all other parameters (temperature, pressure, visibility and wind). -> clouds will anyway change automatically as they move with the wind.I think you've ever thought about that. Tell me why you didn't implement it.Thank you again for that great release.Olivier.
August 24, 200421 yr Hello,Regarding wind smoothing, I still experience frequent 20 degree or so wind direction shifts with the AS2004 beta 140. The wind velocity seems to be stabilized and smooth, however. I have all AS2004 wind smoothing options checked.I'm only able to experience true, non-jumpy (direction-wise) wind smoothing when I set my registered version of FSUIPC to very gradual wind smoothing in addition to Activesky's wind settings.I'm not quite positive but I think this solution has a downside in that it messes up my destination wind transitions by making them occur too slow to be consistant with the METAR reports.
August 24, 200421 yr Hello,Any idea when the official release will be available? Thanks in advance Emile EBBR Z590 Aorus Elite, i9-11900K 3.5Ghz Nvidia RTX 5070, 32 GB Mem, SSD 3 Tera , 3 monitors Win11 Pro X64 LM P3D V6.1 Little Nav Map Hifisim Nvidia 591.44
August 24, 200421 yr 140 is definitely the better version of the software to date. Great weather, smoother transitions - good job Damian and crew...Just one question: I'm using this on wideFS, and it takes the longest time for the program to exit - up to 10 seconds after "close" (this is not specific to this particular version). Why?Thanks!
August 24, 200421 yr Hi,No, I don't know.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
August 24, 200421 yr Hi,Thanks for the report. Sounds normal. The connection to the sever needs to end, then AS shuts down.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
