Activeradar Connector ASV6

I am getting a message "You must select the ASv6.exe file before continuing."I am selecting the ASV6 on the Non FS PC via a shared (full control) mapped network drive.Any ideas why I am still getting this message? Thanks,

Hi,I've had the same problem, and your alternative ARconnector program solved it, thanks. However, I now get an error after the FS2004 path is located and I click next in order to commence the installation. The message reads "Program Error ... Exiting (Verify proper file locations and Mapped Drive to the ROOT of WideFs/ASV6 machine.)" So, I wonder what are "proper file locations". I've installed ASV6 on the WideFS machine under C:ProgramsASV6, the FS machine has a drive Z: mapped to C: on the WideFS machine. Can you shed any light on this?Regards,Marko.

Same here,Also at th readme it says"4) On the FS PC, Share the Documents and Settings[user Name]Application Data folder (with write access). ASv6 will need access to this in order to properly add new weather stations to FS9."Although I have administrator rights on the PC It does not allow me to sghare this folder. I thing you can't by default.Chris

Same here. Solved the first problem but now I'm getting the new error message "Program Error ... Exiting (Verify proper file locations and Mapped Drive to the ROOT of WideFs/ASV6 machine.)" This occurs after it has verified the path to ASv6 and FS.I have the root of the c: drive on my WideFS machine shared and setup as drive z: on my FS machine. All other necessary shares are setup according to the user manual for ASv6 and the connector program worked fine with ASV.KP

Hi all,At 20:00Z 12/22/05 the http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/Acti...arConnector.zip file was updated with another potential fix. If you are experiencing this ARconnector problems please try this version. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please let us know your results with this new version. Also, if you have having trouble sharing the Application Data folder, this will be a problem as ASV now NEEDS write access to this folder to create and control the new FS9 weather stations. You should be able to enable view/control/share access to this via your Windows Explorer, View, Folder options settings.Best,

Thanks Damian. I'm at work now, but will give the new one a try tonight. BTW, I had no trouble sharing the Applications Data folder on my network.KP

Damian,Thanks for the updated file. I will try this out tonight and let you know.I was able to share the APPLICATION DATA folder with no problems. I loaded FS after I installed ASV6 via WideFS and did indeed see the weather update / AI traffic refresh in FS.Regards,

That did the trick, for me it works now. Thanks for your fine product and your fast service!Merry Christmas to all of you,Marko.
