Hi Mark,If you don't want any of the XGraphics textures here, you can restore your original textures pre-XG install (via the options screen) then in the future use the advanced options to deselect such textures from future installations.Best,

Chris,Have you started dealing with the lights/halo fiasco presented by the sp2 patch for FSX? What I mean is, with the FSXsp2 halo, I get huge meteor-like lights with the default halo which seem to have some kind of LOD issue. When I use XGsp1 ligts, I get a bottom ring-light underneath the main halo, which looks OK on PAPI and VASI (shining on the ground) but obviously looks pretty weird on a GA like the Baron.I don't recall a XG service pack since FSX sp2, and from what I understand, there are some decent free-ware halo fixes in the AVSIM library for FSXsp2, but since I purchased a payware lights package, I wondered what if anything is being done to address XG lights/halo with FSXsp2?Regards,

OK, FSX sp2 with XG and 6-star lights as an example. Notice how wide the halos are now. Pay close attention underneath each of the landing lights as well.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/188600.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/188601.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/188602.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/188603.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/188604.jpg

HI Jordan,I see, for now for airports you can add these line to fsx.cfg under display, more the value is lower, more lights will be smaller. 01, or 006, 003 etc.RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=0.1 //scales edge, center,end,touchdown,runwaysRUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=0.1 //scales VASI/PAPI lightsRUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=0.1 //scales approach light barsRUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=0.1 //scales RAILs and ODALsEditFor aircraft, this issue appears only when totally - zoomed out, I will see if I can do something without broken the airports lights, because fsx share the same files for aircraft lights and airports lights.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-dev-sigbanner.jpg

Hi Chris, I'm perfectly aware of the vasi-scaler trick that's been around for ages. The aircraft glow under the lights has nothing to do with zoom and are still present even when in flight (especially on the Baron), thereby making lights look as if they're also shining down. You need to load up your lights and look again becuase its obvious that there is some kind of downward reflection or weird halo.
