With ASX running, aircraft cannot stop and speed off down runway

Did you try it with the glider David? I'd be fascinated by the outcome of that one!

>Did you try it with the glider David? I'd be fascinated by>the outcome of that one!Hi.Sorry for going silent, bet you all thought its now started to work fine and I have vanished into thin air ;-) Sadly this is not the case. I have not been feeling well, been off work etc. I am feeling much better now, and will get back to testing over this weekend.I am looking forward to testing the glider, this is a good suggestion. I also have a few other bits remaining to test, so will hopefully have full results by the end of the weekend.Fingers Crossed.David.

Hi.I have just finished further testing.I double checked the autopilot, and its definately all off, but the problem remains. I have also checked with the standard glider, the problem remains with this also.Again, all this testing was done with settings on low or off within both FSX and ASX.If I run FSX without ASX, everything runs fine. With ASX enabled, I see this problem.Just out of interest, I watched the ASI very closely during testing. It seems to jump to roughly 60knts. The needle does seem to swing round to that, not just sudden jump from zero to 60 - if you know when I mean.I really just dont know, never seen anything like this before, and not sure what else I can try. Well, apart from not using ASX, which will not be good :-(David.

Hi Jim.I will try, but have disabled everything already.Just out of interest, what weather settings should I have under FSX? Although I had these to low or off already etc.Thanks.David.

>Hi,>>Weather settings in FSX should automatically be set to User>Defined.>>What is your Dynamic Rate of Change set to in ASX?>>Thanks,>Jim>>http://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpg>http://www.hifisim.com/Hi Jim.Well thats interesting as mine are not, weather options are "themes: Fair Weather"?? This never changes, with or without ASX running? The Dynamic Rate of Change is default to 50%, and have used 0% and 100% during testing. David.

Hi,If you start ASX and FSX weather should automatically be set to User Defined. If this doesn't happen, it may mean that ASX and FSX are not communicating properly.Start ASX and FSX and then post the resulting xengine.log file.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

Hey David, If it makes You feel any better it is happening to Me as well! Through logical trouble-shooting I have discovered other things as well, I can safely say that most suggestions in this thread do not apply to You and I. Let Me explain..after installing ASX I too noticed the speed jump on landing, I had to come in at stall speed on the threshold and DON'T bounce, cause every bounce shot Me faster and faster till the runway disappeared under Me at 300' agl and 140 knots! Next I notice if you do a hard bank after takeoff things get weird- stall alarm and a straight drop to the earth as though you never had airspeed, even though I was well inside of the flight envelope for the AC. Next I noticed the higher the wind speed and the greater the directional changes of the wind the worse the problem got (thanks to flying around Hurricane Gustavf!) Started checking other default A/C and the prob. was in so many A/C I just assumed it was all of them and had Nothing to do with FSX (sort of). At the same time the engine sounds quit matching throttle settings (Hmmm?)and did not match the rpm gauge it was also messing with auto throttle on A/C that had that function, reminded me of the buggyass FSNAV/FS9 auto pilot thingy. Ok the first thing that came to mind was tailwind gusts, I checked it many times and was mostly headwind as normal for landing this is when I noticed the radical dir./speed changes how could this be ASX has wind smoothing (shift and data)??? So I turned off the wind smoothing stuff and wala no more weirdness! Its like those settings are amplifiers instead of smoothers. My theory = not quite sure still isolating things, but My suspicion is I should have never installed FSUIPC on this system! Let us know....

Hi,At 10:31:17 there was a connection made to FSX, but at 10:33:28 something or someone shut down FSX. So why was FSX only run for 2 minutes. No, you need to leave all flight planning screens and sit on a runway somewhere. Then let ASX and FSX process all the data. Then check to see what setting is on the Weather page in FSX.I am also not sure about the 2 Exception received: 14 lines. So, please try this again and post the file. You are giving us the best information you can!Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

I have basically been waiting to see the green-bar message "ASX weather depiction complete.." appear within FSX, on my system it takes 2secs to reach that point. There is another message right before it, but it changes to the complete message almost instantly, overwriting the first one. What time period should I be wait? 5 or 10 mins after I see the "....complete" green-bar message?David.

>Hi David,>>Sit on a runway for 5 minutes. >>See what the weather is set to in FSX.>>Post the xengine file as you did before.>>Thanks,>Jim>>http://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpg>http://www.hifisim.com/Hi Jim.Wow, ok, that did it. I waited 5 mins after I saw the green-bar "depiction complete" message, and now my weather setting is "user defined". YES. A lesson learnt, I guess this has to do with polling times of the like? Here is the log anyway:22:56:06: Logging Initialized22:56:06: XEngine v1.0.0.332 Copyright
