July 15, 200520 yr It doesn't depend on the card you have, it still hogs resources that it shouldn't be taking. Now depending on the card you have, you might not notice the performance hit.
July 16, 200520 yr Dave thanks, do I also have to use a 'Driver Cleaner' program? Howard Jetline Systems: Intel 8th Gen Core i7 8700K (4.8GHz Overclock); GTX 1080 Ti; LG Curved UltraWide 3440x1440 Monitor .
July 16, 200520 yr I have to agree. No problems with perfomance caused by Net Framework for me anyway. Regards Howard H D Isaacs
July 16, 200520 yr "I beg to disagree about the control center being just a "flashy interface"."------------I didn't really see anything there that wasn't listed in tabs in the normal control panel. Were there some settings on that fancy control centre with the car that aren't on the graphically simpler control panel ?
July 16, 200520 yr Hi Gang, thanks for the heads up on the New drivers, I will try them right now, I have been waiting for a newer version to see if it stops me getting the very very annoying FS9 Closing, and the reason in the "click here to find out why" box always says the same thing, g2d.dll, and yet I am stumped as to why/what has caused this, it has been plaguing me for ages now, despite installing the drivers in the correct manner, even going into ms config after downloading the drivers and un-plugging my broadband connection and re-starting without any anti viruses running whatsoever, and yet I still get it,I have the BIOS all set to disable caching etc, and the VPU recover to off, and AGP fast write is off too,so, I will see what happens,PS do any of you guy's ever get this, or have you heard anything that might give us a clue as to how to stop this, thanks.
July 16, 200520 yr Hi Dave...ya wouldn't have any idea why I cant get the overclock tab to show with any Cat set?I do clean installs (use the uninstaller) and everything else seems fine. This is on a 850XTThanks in advance,Braun
July 16, 200520 yr Well guys it was draining my system resources and I just couldn't get the look I had either so I did the trusy system restore and Im back the the older one. At least I knew where I stood there. Perhaps Ill ad another gig of memory over the one I have and buy a 256 or 512 ATI card to replace the 128 I have now then Ill try it again or what ever comes with the new card. After auto start I had 834mb of Free memory with the old one and the new gave me only 710..... With all the addons I have every lil piece of free ram is crutial for me... The heck with the flashy interface,,,,,,,JimI guess it didnt hurt to try but I just gave up!!!
August 8, 200520 yr in the tweakguide for ati catalyst, it says it is possible to disable ati control center, when you are happy with the set up.you can do this by deleting in the registry under;hkey_local_machinesoftwaremicrosoftwindowscurrentversionrundelete aticccwhen i do this and restart winxp, the control center is not loading anymore (the good side), however in fs9 it seems like anti aliasing etc is not working, because i have jerky graphics.anyone found a solution for this?rick
