Hi,I usually don't get tooooooo excited when new drivers come out because they are usually one let down after another. But in this case, the new drivers XG84.20v2 over at tweaksrus are a vast improvement on my system.Finally, Decent drivers for my Nvidia 6800 extreme card.

How are these drivers doing? Still happy with them? I have a new 7800 card and am using the latest drivers on the Nvidia site. Tell me....what EXACTLY do you see as improvement over certified drivers? I downloaded the drivers (correct ones, I think) from the site you referred to, but haven't installed them yet. I know I can always revert to old ones, but interested in specifics on these drivers. As you can tell by my "tag line", I wil experiment with new things as long as there is some element of sense to it. I will install these drivers tonight.

I see that 84.21 is now out at the same website. It appears that it's the same driver but WHQL certified.

Personally, I am getting really fed up with Nvidia. I have ~$1100 in video cards and I am stuck with a 78.05 driver. I run dual 7800 cards non-sli with 3 monitors. With the 78.05 drivers I load FS, do alt-enter, open my windows drag them to monitors # 2 & 3 and alt-enter again. I have no issues. With any of the 8x.xx drivers including the 84.20V2 I can load FS, do alt-enter and drag windows to EITHER monitor 2 OR monitor 3. This will work fine BUT if I try to drag windows to Monitor 2 AND 3 simultaneously a get a Hard lockup requiring a reboot to recover. I am not really one to get frustrated to often but this is F-ing killing me... I can't figure it out and apparently neither can Nvidia. I guess they can't figure out the aircraft display window either. I have a two monitor setup and have experienced the same lockup you describe with all of the 8x.xx driver (except the very latest). I didnt dare to try the latest driver yet because it's a real pain having to rollback and recreate all of my nvidia settings.I have a 6800GT.based on your feedback, I guess I will wait for another driver revision again.Marc

Yeah, Emile is right when it comes to two monitors. I can get two monitors to work with the latest version no problems. It is when I try to enable all three monitors on both cards I get a lockup... The 84.21 V2's are the first drivers since the 77.72's that I've been able to use with my 6800 without experiencing occasional freeze-ups or blue screens.
