Yeah...I'd have to agree with the others 100%..The mb temp is out-o-wack...In the really early days of the A8N-SLI Deluxe mb's..There was a similar situation...False temp readings...This was cured later on in a bios update....Two things you could do...Go to the Asus website(The Slowest server in the World!!)...Check and see if there is a later version of Asus ProbeII avaliable for your mb...If so you could download and try it..(You could check and see if there is an updated bios while your there)...Go to AnandTech's website/forums and look for a thread on your mb...I'd imagine you'll se others expierencing the same problem...That way you'ld know for sure not to worry about it...I have done allot of fan swapping myself...I have setteled in on Panasonic Panflo fans..They actually move some air...Especially the 120mm..But you probably not going to fit a 120mm fan in your case...The Panflo's are LOUD too...In my fan adventures, I came across an 80mm that I Really liked...I'd love to get some more of them...It's quiet..and really moves some air!! Sunon... http://www.sunonusa.com/index2.asp?f=news&p=pr_powermotorfanI can't tell for sure if this is it...This one has good airflow #'s @ 84.1 cfm...But it looks like it's really loud...Hi RPM's...5700rpm @ 55.2dBA...I don't think that is the one I have now?? But the CFM's are Nize..(You could use a Fan Controller and slow it down some which qould also quiet it too)...I think my next order I'm onnalget some of these for myself and give them a shot...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16835221002Here is another one...The airflow #'s are not as good..But it looks much quieter...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811999027Here are the Panflo's which I use...(I Love the 120mm Panflo's..I only have 1 or 2 of these 80mm's)...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16835180085another (quieter/Lower RPM/Less cfm)..http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16835180091I'd agree on swapping out the fan's on the Lan-Li case...Was one of the first things I did with mine...Have Fun!!

My Lian-Li cases had always been fitted with Panoflos and Sunons... until 14 months ago. Then I was in a---don't laugh---CompUSA and found these. Couldn't believe their specs, so I went back home to check the specs of the fans (4 x 120) in my case. Went right back to CompUSA to pick up one of the Mad Dogs to try. Put it in the left side hole (which blows fresh air directly onto the CPU/memory) and sure enough my CPU temps went down 2-3 degrees. Now the case is totally fitted with Mad Dog 120 TurboFlows. From CompUSA, for cryin' out loud!Greg

Awww...No Kiddin'....100CFM @ 32dBA??? Really??Huummmm...I feel a trip to Comp USA in my future..Near future..(As soon as the Sun comes up)My Rigs currently sound like an F/A-18 Hornet starting up...Boy...If these #'s are even close..That would be Schweet!!!! Thanks for the Info!!See...I bought some of these Mad Dog Fans...http://mdmm.com/spec.php?productid=91They are pretty much "Run of the mill" performance...(They look Kewl though)...I suppose I quit looking at MD in general because these were not spectacular...Maybe My Bad?? (notice..no specs on the front page...They are embarrassed to list them there..he he)..Along with my Lan-Li 6070-B..I'm using the Asus Vento case's...They are really cruddy from a cooling standpoint...I'll definatly go get some of these TurboFlow's...The Specs sure look Good!! And Finally...Maybe some Quiet around here??Thanks!!

At a guess, with your system overclocked to 3.4Ghz and a with a 7900GT fitted (not GTX) I would have thought you could expect around 6500 - 7000 in 3dMark 06 at a guess.I'll O/C mine shortly and see what happens.

Regards

The screws that were used was kind of strange. I didn't have any tool with me that looked like I could use to unscew them. Manny

I should I have checked the ASUS website earlier:Question The motherboard temperature reading from P5W DH Deluxe is significantly higher (by almost 10 degrees) than most other motherboards. Is that normal? If so, what is a safe temperature range on this motheboard?AnswerIt should be normal if the motherboard temperature is within the range of 40~65 degrees. The motherboard temperature sensor has been placed between ICH7R Silicon Image 4723.This is the second hottest place on the motherboard apart from the CPU, also at the airway of chassis fan, to ensure Q'Fan2 is capable of managing chassis fans in the most efficient manner.Hence, it means the motherboard temperature reading on this board may be quite hot as compared to other motherboards when its overall temperature is not really that much hotter.Your system should be OK if it is within this temperature range.

Manny:The Benchmark thread is in this same forum (MS Flight Simulator Hardware Discussion). You might have to go back a few days, as it has not been posted to in awhile.

"Chuck,How do I remove the fan from the Lian Li case? The screws that were used was kind of strange. Manny,I have a very similar setup and I am seeing exactly the same temperatures you are.CPU temp = 35C, P5W temp = 45C. Under load the CPU temp rises up to 47C and the P5W stays pretty constant 45-47C.E6700 overclocked @ 3.2GhzAsus P5W DHThermaltake Blue Orb IIX1950XTX2 x WD Raptor 150Regards,Rich
