Hi all l know this has been spoken about b 4... l have tryed everything in my setting carn`t get AA to work. l have windows vista... update to new drives by nvidia 1 june.... whats is the main problem?66001 gig mem corsair8800gts 640meg19`` samsung widescreen monitor..hope this helps.. has anyone had the same problem? Thanks GuysPaul

Paul,Make sure you have AA turned off in FS9's options menu and only turn it on in your graphics card control panel. Start out with 4X and see if you get decent frame rates. The other problem may be the new drivers, so you might want to go back to the older version and see if AA works then.Kim

Its not enabled bud never use them.. l need to see where to get the 9XXX drivers for vista l was told they work but the new driver 1XXXX dont. in the preview in the settings it works but in flightsim preview it doesn`t..Thanks bud

I'm having the same problems. I just upgraded to Vista, and I have an Nvidia 8800 GTX card. I updated the drivers, and disabled the AA in the Flight Sim, but in the preview window, it seems my AA isn't working. FS9 isn't recognizing my card settings or something. Can anyone lead us in the right direction and help us 'clear up' (pun intended :)) this issue?

I think he's asking about FSX, after all it is in the FSX forum? ;-)

Dave,>>I think he's asking about FSX, after all it is in the FSX forum?<

In either case the answer is simple. Open the fs*.cfg and remove the line AntiAlias=1In FSX.cfg the line changes to AntiAlias=0 when you uncheck the menu option, and this seems to override the graphic card settings. So remove it. And then you have total control of the AA levels through the GPU controller.Allcott

The latest theroy is to turn-on AA in FS9 (as well as FSX) for the later 8800 series cards. Go to enhancer.com and download and install nHancer. Set both the FS2004 and FSX nvidia profiles in nHancer to 8xs, TraparencyAA=off, Ansio 16x and work it from there. Start with a mipbias setting of 6 in both FS9 and FSX as a starting point as well. This is what finally got me the best looking (non FPS killing) image I have seen yet in either sim version.

Actually, regardless of the fact that this hardware forum hangs off the FSX forum, it serves both FS9 and FSX. Post a hardware question to the FS9 forum and watch it come here!Personally, as a regular poster in the hardware forum, I'd rather see hardware questions go in the main FS9 and FSX forums, because:1. There is a very grey line between hardware and software questions. I've seen hardware-specific questions stay in the main forums and predominantly software questions get spun in here sometimes.2. It's very quiet in here compared to the main forums. Questions often hit the second page without a single response and view counts are significantly lower than the main forums for posts with similar numbers of responses. If they live in the main forums before coming here, they get much greater exposure.3. It would save the mods the effort of diverting hardwareish queries to here, leaving them more time to catch the real crooks ;-)But that's not what we are here for today ;)Gary
